If a long lost relative left you with $100 million dollars what would you do with it?

Pay off all my families debts, give a bulk to charity, secretly give some to someone who I knew needed it desperately and I don't know what else, try not to let it affect me morally.

This thread reminds me of this song:
(I think maybe only Canadians will remember this one)

Arwen, that song gets played on the radio where I work (which is ironic because I work at a bank and it's about having a million dollars, ha). One of my supervisor's HATES it. I think because it comes on so often, as do most of the songs there, that it gets annoying after a while. :P

I remember that song too. It actually elicits a happy feeling for me. It reminds me of a very happy trip to San Fran I took with my ex. The Yoko Ono song is one of my favorite BNL songs as well.

as Yoko sings the ouyouyouyoo ah forget it I can't spell it. I will be in the British Virgin Islands if anybody needs me.:D

Buy a small house with a garage, a decent car, and enjoy giving most of the rest to family, friends, and those who need it,

I'd like to think that I would not let such a large amount of money change my personality too much. I would try and be generous with it when needed. I wouldn't hold back from buying a large house though. I grew up in a small house, and although cozy, it sometimes feels like I'm just a zoo animal in a cage that's too small (the bedroom I've had my entire life is the size of a large closet). I want to actually get a mini workout when I move around indoors, and I once read that high ceilings encourage creative thinking. I'm all about that!! :D

I'll fly to Hawaii to get an appointment with Poor Dad, and be mentored by him. Then... hire a broker, and we'll go property shopping for townhouses and apartments, farms and beaches. With these, i can create more jobs in the community. Buy stocks on eco-friendly companies, and companies that on-top of the game in the stock -exchange, and support micro-businesses under non-profit organizations. Well, i can be involved into producing more entrepreneurs. Along with that, i can also start putting-up a boarding school. To inspire learning is what i love to be doing long-term.

I wouldn't worry to be running-out of money even if i travel and do mission trips every time, as i do have Cash In-flows even if i spend and spend and spend..

Really... if given that huge amount.. i want to be out of the Rat Race.. In the end, it's not how much money you have, but it's on how much you give and save.

I'd pay off my families student loans and buy them nice houses. My sister is going to be a missionary in Africa, so I'd sponsor her and her whole team for 10 years and give lots of money away to Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon and other missions oriented things. I would also set up a scholarship fund for those that have less than an A average in school. Why should the smart kids get all the breaks?? The not-so-smart kids deserve a chance to go to college too! There would be certain requirements to meet of course. My current and future nieces and nephews would have a certain amount each set up for college too. That's all I can think of for the moment. I'm pretty sure I'll think of a few more during pastors sermon. :p

I'd buy a couple of houses/condos: somewhere in the SE (of the US), Manhatten or Chicago, Italy and Cali - maybe a couple in Cali. I would try to team up with Warren Buffett and the Microsoft founder and his wife to get advice on some worthy organizations to support. I would choose a number of Christian organizations and support. I would give a chunk of change to my church to use at their discretion to give to people who are in dire need of money. I would find some sort of innercity effort that helped disadvantaged children into colleges and out of the projects. I would............

 • Tithe
 • I would get out of debt
 • Buy my mom a new car
 • Get her out of debt
 • Buy me a new car
 • Buy my way into a BA nursing school (that's right, bribery for the betterment of mankind)
 • Start buying gold
 • Buy a house after I graduate from nursing school
 • Hire a trainer
 • Hire a healthy living chef
 • Buy my bestie a car (or at least fix her broken one)
 • And save the rest for whatever else comes along in life

 • Buy my way into a BA nursing school (that's right, bribery for the betterment of mankind)

Wouldn't you want a Bachelor of Science (BS) instead of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) nursing degree? ...or is there something here I'm missing?

Go to law school.
Pay off everything I owe.
Set up a trust fund for my son that would assist him, but not so much that he would not feel the need to work.
Set up educational trusts for kids, especially extended family and from my church, who were willing to work hard and maintain a certain GPA, who might not qualify for other scholarships.
Develop a local school program that would encourage kids to learn to swim. Too many people die because they can't.
Travel. A lot.
Buy a vintage motorcycle.
Establish my own dance studio and music school.
Buy instruments/music lessons for young people at church to build future praise teams.

is burn it for fuel an option?
cuz i think that might be cheaper than actually buying fuel oil.
