thanks for the advise guys but what if you are related by blood?
Dliz, believe it or not I know someone in my family who had the same problem as you and they are related also. They just kept her out of their house and also stopped being friendly with her, but I know that maybe you can't. This is what Jesus said to do when a brother or sister is sinning..

“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church (or authority); and if they refuse to listen even to the church (or authority), treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector." - (Matthew 18:15-17)

Thank you Zero for more sensitively stating a % of what I said on my 1st post to this thread, before I descended into throwing people.

I place more emphasis on my relationship with others by the Blood of Christ, as opposed to the common blood that runs through our veins.

Their are some things you could do, such as keep on praying. She said she is a christian so go through the scriptures with her.

Mention these verses, if she says she "has to lie" or something around there.

1 corinthians 10:13
[h=3][SUP]13 [/SUP]No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.[/h]
James 1:13-27 are some more verses to go through with her.

Talks about listening and "doing" not just listening.

1 john 3:9 is also an important verse. It says No one who is born of God practices sin.

All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. This is what the bible says. If she is a christian like she professes then godly sorrow and repentance should lead and bring about sincerity from God's Holy Spirit. After repentance and receiving forgiveness she can start to produce the fruit of God's spirit.

It's basically about how sincere is she with her relationship with God.

Is she working out her salvation with fear and trembling?

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 corinthians 13:5

She needs to get in her prayer room and analyze her faith and where her heart is.

Apply the scriptures as a medication and let God's word pierce and work as it is intended.

~ Blessings

Sorry, I didn't know that was the scripture you were referring to. I can never recognize a scripture by its chapter and verse numbers alone. I remember what something in scripture said and then I look up the chapter and verse on google.

No apology needed, ZT. I tend to think of myself as not knowing much of the Bible by heart, but surprise myself in this way from time to time. I neglect that most people (on CC or anywhere) do not know the Bible the way the folks in my Wednesday night class do, which is very well indeed.
In the future, should I quote the scripture, rather than simply giving the reference?
