Hey Everyone,
Would you say there is a little bit of a troll in all of us? I know that for myself, I think I'm generally a "Girl Who Follows The Rules" but the truth is, all my longings to rebel (and there are a lot of them) are tucked away in a few (sometimes not so remote) corners. There are some days when trying to hold myself in Lock Down just gets too difficult.
Do you ever have a "Troll Day" where you just feel a bit... ornery? Disagreeable? In the mood to start an argument? Derail a thread? Say something controversial? Post things you know everyone will disagree with?
If so... How do you prepare for and go about your day if you "wake up on the wrong side of the bed"?
As for me, I start my morning with a huge bowl of "Cornflakes of Dissension." I may then go on to snack on a "Cheesestick of Dichotomy" (you know, one of those cheese sticks that's half cheddar AND half mozzarella ) Lunch might be a few (Wish-I-Had-Some-Brass-Knuckle) Sandwiches. And for dinner, I tend to fix myself a big plate of "(Re) Hash(ing) of the Moment", toppled off with a big helping of "Grumble Pie".
Thank goodness "His mercies are renewed every morning."
But seriously... how does your day go and how do you cope when the whole morning gets off on the wrong foot? And what eventually pulls you out of it at the end of the day (or does it often take days, or weeks, to get back to normal)?
I have a tendency to isolate myself as much as possible, trying to keep a leash on saying anything I'll regret later!! (I try to tell myself, "Stay inside the box, Kim... Stay inside the box... Nothing good will come of you stepping outside the box right now and you don't have a big enough broom to sweep up that mess tomorrow!!") I honestly try to get away from people as soon as possible (which, of course, is not possible at work) and then come home to pray (which sometimes involves a lot of yelling), have a snack, and hopefully sleep it off for an hour or two. How about all of you?
What keeps you all on the straight and narrow... and what gets you back onto it once you've fallen by the wayside?
