You are dating the wrong guy/girl when you fight more than you are prepared to put up with on a very long term basis. Snappy people can work with snappy people, calm people can work with snappy people, and calm people can work with calm people. All combinations can work, as long as the personality mix can easily find it's romantic, charming settlement and fights won't come to dominate your life.

1.) When you don't want to leave them because you feel like you won't be able to find some one better

2.) then they consistantly make you feel like you're anything less then a child of God, His daughter, HIS princess.

3.) If you wouldn't want him/her being the father/wife of your children and teaching them what they know.

When they repeatedly stand you up for dates THEY asked for, and you find out that it's because they were out in the woods, fighting demons with a sword.

Not from personal experience but I would hate to have a girl who was so clingy that she could be mistaken for a koala.

When the guy you are dating doesn't understand the words "I do not drink!"...but he makes you drink it anyways. True story from when I was with my ex fiance.

Scripture instructs us not to come under the authority of the ungodly. Most of us learn that the hard way at some point in life. I did too. Glad he's your ex. Shows your growing. That's a good thing.

Sadly, I am one of those that always chooses to learn the hard way. I have gotten better though. :) I've found someone my parents approve of and that's what matters to me most.

If they don't want kids right away it tends to be a problem for us :)

Generally if their ideologies don't match ours, or they're interested in the threesome but are shy of the long term commitment we're looking for.

The kids thing is the first major sign though, usually the later isn't obvious right away.

Another big turn off for me would be a girl who says that she hates kids or doesn't want to have children somewhere in the first few years of marriage.
