I'm all for be yerself now, because if you pretend to be someone yer not, when you Meet someone they will expect you to Stay that not you person... Forever. I'm not yet divorced, but am enjoying living the dream side of being single... Antiques for bedroom furniture, paint 3 walls "periwinkle grey" and one wall "1967 Corvette Stingray Blue Metalic?" You Bet. Smoke enough pork & chicken to eat off of all week? On it. making my own decisions because they are what I want to do? Love it.
If I do ever date again, if I do ever meet someone special, if I ever give another thought to being anything beyond single... she's gonna be like Jesus - cause she's gotta take me Just As I Am! I may be God's work in progress, but I'm no fixer upper. I will never be a show car, I'm a daily driver. Just like Popeye, I yam what I yam. but I'm more than that, I'm God's creation. He's still tweaking the details, and may never be done till the close the lid on me. But I'm not going to mess with trying to be anything different than how He has me turning out. I'm his handiwork and He has the right to change me (and thankfully He Does change me!), but I will not choose to change myself for some Person - present or potential future.

I'd say for the most part that I agree with what most of you have said: Do what's best for you now, because you don't know about the future. How can I make a decision based off of someone I don't even know? As for your example, Liamson, with the motorcycle (which looks wicked cool, by the way), maybe a future girl would love it, and maybe a future girl wouldn't. So how do you decide when it could go either way, when you don't really know what "she" might like? Especially with temporary things that can easily be changed, like cars and living spaces.

Even with things that may be a problem, you can just make that decision when it comes to that time. For example, I have a kitten. What if my future husband doesn't like cats, or he's allergic? That's something that we can decide, together, when/if the time comes. In the meantime, I'm not going to fret about whether or not I may have to eventually give her up, because it really wouldn't do me any good to worry. (Note: I really REALLY wouldn't want to give her away, so if he doesn't like cats or is allergic, hopefully he'd just ignore her or take allergy medicine!)

not sure about future husband. But honestly I want to come over with a laser pointer and play with the cat.

Well, she does love playing with it! She knows what the laser pen does now, so now when I get it out, she starts meowing and making weird noises and starts looking at the ground because she knows it's coming. I love when she wiggles her little bottom before she attacks it. :P

laser pointers i think was invented for the only reason to be a cat toy.

and to see how many idiots will point them at aircraft and go to jail..
