ShyForHim, Cobus was trying to exhort you in love and in truth. If you took his comment as judgmental then you should re-read it. You need as a young believer to receive instruction, but weigh all things against the Word. If scripture confirms their word then receive it. If what people say oppose scripture reject it. But to not take everything so personally. To do this you must read the Bible, immerse yourself in it day and night, letting Holy Spirit guide you into all truths
I have seen that people here are not teaching but arguing to prove their point that they are right. If someone says I do not trust God's salvation, that is being judgmental from their part. If someone says I am not saved, that is still judgmental, for only God knows my heart, and not humans.

I do not see love in this website anymore.

What other hope could I have? For THIS perfect love does indeed cast out fear!
Why the warnings in Scripture then?

Are they only there so that people may avoid a severe chastening at the judgment (even though they will be ultimately saved in the end)?

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
Eph 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Eph 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Eph 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Eph 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

There is great deception in this world and there are many wolves who pose as Christian's. In the old time it was the concision (legalists) while today it is the purveyors of a false grace message...

Tit 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
Tit 1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
Tit 1:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

Shy, the entire church system is corrupted to the core. The message being preached is a false Gospel.

Go into practically any church and ask yourself have the people been delivered from their sins?

They teach that one is saved IN their sin as opposed to being saved FROM their sin. Thus this twisted positional salvation has been invented to give assurance of salvation to those who are still in bondage to their lusts.

It's a very deep seated and historically well developed deception and only the diligent are able to be delivered from it. So I urge you to be very careful in regards to what you believe and be very diligent in seeking God and studying the Scripture. The well being of your soul depends on it.

Not once I stated I am saved in sin. I am saved from the sin, and delivered from it. I still see no point in what you're trying to tell me.

Shy, I do not type to you as to a person, but to all for LEARNING the true power of salvation. God is not an accpter of the person and neither am I. I look at your teachings and I see many wonder off the Word of God, and that I have a command from God to adress... God said in Timothy that the Word should be used to reproof, the false statements.

And unfortunately you typed a few. You see ShyforHim, I do this because I love you and ALL who read this. This site is GREAT to test the Truth of God.... HIS WORD IS THE TRUTH,... John 17:17.

My dear friends, I type ALWAYS to please my Lord! I want ot show people Jesus and His Salvation. I want to share THE GOOD NEWS... there is no good news in... We will always sin as long as we are on this world. That is BAD news and a curse all in ONE. Jesus said.... Come to me if you are heavy laden and I will give you rest... Boy His rest and peace is EVERLASTING... That is how good HE DOES GIVE salvation.... He makes you FREE indeed... Free from lies, free from sin free from hate, free from even your old self, and free from ALL evil.... That is what Jesus came to do.... Not only die on a cross, but to be RESURRECTED so that we can have a NEW LIFE IN HIM... FREE!!!!!

Shy I love you, and I will always hope that Jesus will fill you with HIMSELF... that you will be made ONE with HIM! Amen!

Tintin should God's Word be banned? Should this be banned?...
Mat 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
1 Cor 15:34...Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
1 John 3:9... Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1 John 5:18... We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Eph 4:11 to 13...And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

And MANY more my friend.... The Bible teaches what we teach, ALL our statements are 100% in harmony with God's SPELL/Word (Gospel). Your's and what we talked about a lot? You still owe me plenty Scripture of what you said... You never come back with scripture...

Reproof us from God's Word TIN TIN, like we do you.... The Word is right, not us, We only believe what God promises and says... I believe Jesus when He says... HE MAKES ME FREE! AND I WILL BE FREE INDEED...

God said we shall know the Truth (HIS WORD) and the Truth shall make us free... AND I HAVE TO GIVE GOD THE GLORY.... IT DOES MAKE US FREE!

The basic principle of the bible is to teach us by example. The things that divided us got those who came before is nowhere as well. They are in the grave. They are our witnessess to show us who are living that this is where we're headed. We all know we're going to die yet we still are divided by the same issues that divided our fathers.

It's like the analogy of a race we both run. We know who the winner is (Jesus) going before us, but how many racers quit the race already knowing the outcome? When ben johnson won his gold medals in emphatic fashion complete with taylor made gold shoes, did the other racers quit, or did they still ran the race?

We here know that all these things end in death. But we still must run toward the finish line because we are racers trained to do such.

That being said have we learned to live better? We live in an age where we can end crime, poverty and homelessness for ALL but we argue still over the same things our fathers did. If those of the past knew what we know now, they would have NEVER killed Jesus!

The law is a school master. Satan teaches what NOT to do. And all things work for good.

The OP was building a strawman against the truth
Seems to me the straw is assuming you are one of the few since your rest is in your self assurance that you are righteous enough.

That's Universalism, and it is not what God says in His word.

Every doctrine that opposes God's word is false, not matter how pleasant it seems

Tintin, is carnal, and hates God's word. He wants nothing to do with the truth. He would rather just not have to even hear it or see it.

Again, please do not label me. And I believe the greatest hypocracy a man can have is to say that they BELIEVE in a Jesus that came to save and die FOR THE WHOLE WORLD, then adamantly deny His power to do just that! Does He have all power or no?

Yesterday I went to a different christian chat and met someone who said that we lose our salvation whenever we sin. So when we sin, we're not saved, thus we're not in Christ. He gave proof from the Bible but it seems it's his interpretation and I personally saw how he misjudged me and others. I personally don't think he should bring new born people to tears like he did with me.

This man claimed a true christian should/cannot not sin, whether willingly or not. I'd like to know what you guys think.
I think you opened a can of worms and though I have not read all the responses to your thread, I can tell you that you will find some posters on this forum who would support that man and his beating of the sheep.

I believe many people don't know the difference between exhortation and condemnation. Instead of building a new believer up and giving them the tools to overcome sin and temptations, they spend a lot of time kicking them while they are down.

I think its wrong and people shouldn't do it. Jesus did not throw scripture at the woman who committed adultery. Though He was the only one without sin, He did NOT cast the stone but forgave her and told her to go and sin no more.

God knows our hearts and knows if we are truly repentant or if we just want to get out of trouble. Godly sorrow that works to repentance is nothing to be sorry for. however if you have worldly sorrow and are just sorry that you get in trouble or were caught doing wrong or punished for doing wrong, then you don't really repentant. If you thought you could get away with it, you would probably do it again. therefore, unless you are truly contrite and humble and pray with a pure heart to overcome the sin that is enslaving you, you will not be set free but continue to be enslaved. You have to pray and ask God how that sin is hurting you and others in your life and how it is keeping you from doing and being the person God wants you to be. then you will have godly sorrow and repent of doing the deed, not just suffering the consequences of being punished or being made to feel guilty. You will learn the wisdom from above about how sin hurts more than just you and God but those around you as well. You will gain the fruit of SELF CONTROL and diligently add to your faith.

God loves you enough to forgive you when you make mistakes. He picks you up when you stumble. Just pray and keep your eyes focused on Him and your heart upon HIS words.

when I feel like I'm just a fool, tripping over my own feet. I like to read this psalm because it tells me that God is able to teach even this fool and keep her from great transgressions if only we keep our eyes and our hope upon HIm.

Psalm 19
[SUP]7 [/SUP]The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
[SUP]8 [/SUP]The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

[SUP]9 [/SUP]The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
