I would also tell you about the times I've written to prison inmates with LWOP (life without parole) on Hello Kitty stationery (and they actually said they liked it, even though they got a lot of flack for it, of course...).
They said it was nice to see something colorful in prison since there is virtually no color behind the walls... and that they could tell instantly from a mile away when they were getting a letter from me--they could see the colorful envelope from across the floor when the clerk brought the mail.
But that's another story for another time.
