these are too easy!
2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup semi sweet or milk choc morsels

in a preheated 325 oven lay out the coconut in a tin pie plate and place on foil lined sheet. Toast it about 12 mins stirring every 3 mins until light brown. meanwhile microwave the chocolate until melted.
pour the chocolate on the coconut and then make little haystacks..cool on wa paper in the fridge

Hhhmmmm....I wonder...?? I wonder if this is maybe the same recipe I've seen for making little birds nests and then put the tiniest of jelly beans in the center for "eggs".....? Sounds good either way! Thanks for sharing.

Isn't haystacks the lazy mans taco? lol In my lifetime, we have known this to be the greatest potluck supper :)

Tortilla chips
Beef or beans (or both to make a chilli)
Shredded cheese
Shredded lettuce
diced tomatoes
sour cream
salsa
olives *optional*
*anything you like....we even add diced pickles...
Crush chips and layer in the order above or whatever you like...kids will arm wrestle eachother for this!
