I'm losing calcium. And, for the body to use calcium taken, it needs vitamin D, so I take calcium every day with Vitamin D in it.
Something my doctor told me, that might help you. "If you live anywhere but along the equator, assume you have to take Vitamin D every day. There isn't enough foods to supply it, and not enough time in the sun, even if you stayed outside all day, to make up for it."
Milk is fortified with vitamin D because our bodies need it to absorb calcium. Just saying that vitamin D is not naturally found in milk, and you have to look and see if it says "fortified with vitamin D" on the label.
You only need 10 minutes in the sun to get a day's worth of vitamin D... (when sun is high in the sky, and with shorts, tank top and no sunscreen on)
