My wife made a sugar cream pie from an Amish recipe. Did a peach pie too.
Delicious! I've been wanting to make a sugar cream pie. Just so many recipes, it's hard to get to them all! One time I made a vinegar pie. Sounds odd, but it was very tasty.

I just finished making fudge.
It doesn't look pretty, but it goes great with the Mexican Premium Strawberry Ice Cream I bought this evening.

The fudge was made with organic dark chocolate bars and the best German toffee milk chocolate. I also added sea salt, vanilla extract and California raisins from 4 different kinds of grapes.

Your fudge sounds amazing! It also sounds healthy... certainly more healthy than the last fudge I made, which was maple walnut fudge.

The ice cream sounds appealing too. Strawberry is a favorite.

I was just talking to the Lord about that a little before posting. I got 2 small containers of different brands. I said that" the one was healthier", er I mean was not as unhealthy as the other. It tasted a little better too!" Lol

Oh no, I read your post again and my mouth started to water. I really should get off hear. I already brushed my teeth and getting ready for bed. Will probably be dreaming about the different fudges we made. I don't even want to hear about sugar cream pie tonight....tonight that is.

I admit, I had ice cream today and it wasn't the healthiest choice. Far from it actually. Unfortunately, it was a favorite of mine that was on sale (I had to do grocery shopping today) and I couldn't resist. Hiland's Time Traveler. It's a French silk ice cream and there should be laws against it.

It sounds like you have more will power than I do! But, forgive me for posting about delectable foods :giggle:

I think we'll have barbecue pork, baked sweet potato, green beans, and a big dinner roll. Maybe a big bowl of real banana pudding. It's still early, we may still may opt for Cajun style red beans and rice with sausage and shrimp, along with hush puppies.

Whole lot of yumminess here! I love real banana pudding. I like to make it with meringue on top. I seen a recipe somewhere that was called Grandma's Banana Pudding. It called for pudding mix!!:eek: I guess grandmas don't cook like they used to.

The recipe used to be on the Nabisco Vanilla Wafers box. Mama cut it off one many years ago.

Having not heard of Tillamook. I did a search. I live in a small city. There are 6 grocery stores in my city, none of them carry it. However, there is one grocery store in a small town just north of there that has quite an array of Tillamook ice cream flavors. If I ever find myself in there, I'll have to give it a try.

Speaking of delicious frozen foods, do you like frozen custard? There is a mom & pop frozen custard place here. It's too small of a place to eat inside, but wow...their frozen custard should be outlawed!

Oh yeah, I've had frozen custard. It's a treat I try to have once a year. I better be careful or I'll hurt my testimony.
Lol

My first attempt at making Chinese Sesame Balls was a successful venture.

Mom hasn't been eating as much as she should but gave them a high rating. Dad only got two of them before they were gone. :giggle:
