Good post. Would you mind elaborating on your statement: Their definition of total depravity is off How do Calvinists define it, how do you define it?

There is only one religion with a monergistic soteriology—true Christianity (aka Calvinism)

Christian: one born from above by Spirit. John 3

I reckon it’s the same thing that upset God.

The many and the few, the majority and the minority. The majority of those who profess Christ will hear those dreaded words, I never knew you, while the minority will hear, well done. The world is filled with billions who take the Lord’s name in vain, they are the majority in every country...

No, salvation is eternal and entirely of the Lord, can’t do anything to earn it, can’t do anything to lose it. Those who make a profession then depart, prove they never had true faith-these can still come to faith Lord willing.

God doesn’t know exactly what’s going to happen, he’s reacting and changing tactics as he learns what man is doing… Synergists lol 😂 Your soteriology has you openly denying God’s omniscience, man’s sinfulness and the eternality of salvation all in one week. And you wonder why we won’t find...

Elihu begins a line of questioning and God answers Job the same way-a continuation if you will. Job 37:14-24 [14] “Hear this, O Job; stop and consider the wondrous works of God. [15] Do you know how God lays his command upon them and causes the lightning of his cloud to...

Off topic but, where’s @Nehemiah6 been? He and have been arguing soteriology for years on CC. Hope you’re ok buddy.

You won’t find many “Calvinists” on CC, but there’s plenty of us who share his view on soteriology. Similarly, you won’t find many “Arminians” on CC, though many share his soteriology.

Same as Paul’s, see Galatians.

Let us not forget, “tulip” was a response to the remonstrance heresy-the same synergistic wolf that’s always plagued the church, just wearing a different mask. —— Note to all: There’s always been a lying spirit, a majority who claim faith plus works-“synergists” and the remnant, a minority who...

What a mess. You do realize what you’re saying don’t you? You're claiming there’s two ways mankind is saved, one by God’s grace/charis: the divine influence upon the heart, and the other by efforts of man. Two different gospels? Preposterous. Salvation is and always has been by faith, and that...

The sin of Adam, called original sin, was in no way passed down or imputed to the rest of the human race. 5th century heretic. Pelagius. —— Denying original sin is a common conclusion for heretical synergists who place man and his “free will” at the center of creation, rather than Christ as...
