Any bikers in the house?

I cannot speak for today, but always in the past,, bikers had a tendency to stop when they see a fellow biker off the road. I Had the Kawasaki while in Colorado, but, believe it or not, I rode that little 250 across the Great Plains and then some. I finally destroyed it for lack of upkeep knowledge, but not the Kawasaki.

Be careful always nowadays of everyone.......you will know which I am sure.

Thank you! I am also partial to Goldwings, as they great bikes. I liked riding out on the two laners out in the desert most of, as well as the National Monuments. Utah has some of the best National Park such as Zion, Bryce, Canyon Lands, Arches. Remember that movie with Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver called Galaxy Quest, where they had to go down to an alien planet to get a new Beryllium Sphere? Well, they filmed that at Goblin State Park in Utah and I rode out there on my Wing to see it. Amazing! Here's a pic of it:

Um... nope! it didn't upend. But it's a beautiful tropical island, only 30 miles long and twelve miles at its widest point. The ocean water temps were 83 to 87 and clear. I did a lot of surfing while I was there, as well as snorkel. The coral heads inside the reef are beautiful with every color of fish you can imagine.

Nothing impressive...

It was a 'practical' thing - I needed 'economical' transportation.

Kawasaki 440 LTD belt-drive

Not a large bike, but it worked for me. I have a small body frame. If I remember correctly - back then - my weight was around 120 pounds. And, I needed to get to work! (and other places)

For seven years I had this bike and no car - while living in Dallas, Texas.

I rode it in heavy traffic in all seasons and road conditions.

(God truly looked after me.)

Most of my 'country' riding (outside of city limits) was in the North-East region of Texas.

I never took it cross-country or any great distances.

On good weather days, I really enjoyed it.

(On some other days - "not so much"...)

Its a great way to travel.

- if the weather is good, the roads are good, the tires are good, etc.

Some of my best journeys were on a bike that was not appropriate the weather was a mess but the Spirit of just wanting to travel and not letting circumstances pull me down was more powerful than any engine

The Spirit of those who want to ride is different. Most people stop after they have enough cash for a car or they carry on because they are part of a gang or Club. For me me the isolation of riding was like touching my cor

I dont see many motorcycles pull up at church. I once rode my bicycle to church but they didnt like me having it in their lobby.

But there was nowhere else to put it. I keep it in the garage at home.

Do you still ride?

occasionally but I prefer to ride to the community garden. Though sometimes its just actually easier to walk.

The church land is basically half a massive carpark, and they have a carboot sale on the weekend. Church seems to be built for cars, not bikes.

Can u get som dirt tires an go off road?

Rode the streets on mid size cruisers from '76 to 20001. Only had one minor crash. Rear tire hit a spot of oil on wet street and came around on me. Lack of respect from cagers led me to stop. I was a lone wolf rider but appreciated the wave from other riders - especially in very cold weather. I still miss the high speed runs and the rush.

My son started street riding about the same time I quit. He did sportbikes. He had several progressively bad offs. He quit street riding after he almost lost part of his leg. Class b double compound fracture tib/fib. Kept riding but only on the track. Safer on track at 160mph+ than 25 mph on the street. I was getting interested in photography about the same time and started shooting bike races her in Florida for about 3 years. I really miss that.

About the only sport in which I am still interested in is MOTO GP bike racing. 300hp on a 400 pound machine with a horse jockey size rider.
And no politics! Probably less than 3 dozen riders run at this level worldwide.
