Pertaining to the cross.

The word "Paradise" is used this once. (in reference to what we all can assume is Heaven?)
Jesus tells the thief that he will be with Him there, that very day.

Yet?
Jesus tells Mary in John 20:17, that "I have not yet ascended to My Father"?

Thoughts?
Just wondering?
Just conversation, no baiting........Easter and all. :)

Funny thing, I actually went to church with my sister, her son, my brother, and our niece and a little girl my sister was babysitting. Quite a group. :)

I am very tired and I have to say, always inspiring to hear the good news.

Then to see it everywhere on the internet, just amazing...

Yes, we are starting... Preparations finished! Let's pray now as each is led.

I just wanted to give thanks to God for this day and the safety we have in Him.

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

I say "thank you Jesus", although I cant say it online with all my heart as I'd want to. It's been a very deep day.
:passes the bread and wine on:
You can!

Just ask partakers to go to an "empty" chat on CC rooms to say (or hear) what it is going to be said.

i can tell you what i heard at church....however reliable that may be...

as we know, Christ was the Firstfruits of those who have 'fallen asleep' (1 Cor 15:20)
and paradise was a sort of temporary holding place for the saints who died before His resurrection.

hades sort of separated into two parts...'Abraham's Bosom' (paradise), and hell (not paradise).
(Luke 16, 23)

yikes, this may be the worst explanation i've never given anyone.

did i miss the Lord's Supper? :(

Well to the thief He is saying that his faith has saved him. He is telling him that because of his faith he will be in heaven upon his death. And think of this Jesus says on this very day you will be with me yet Jesus was not in heaven so was He talking about Himself or His deity? To be with the Father is to be with the Son and to be with the Son is to be with the Father. Now to Mary this was before He ascended to Heaven so both are correct if you look at each in view of not only the human side of Jesus but also the deity of Jesus.

(This would be my understanding but I am no Biblical scholar so please don't anyone "jump" me on this)

Right?
I had 5 responses in PM.
Everyone might be too shy to express what they might think here??
I never would want to cause a debate over it, ya know?,..... thought it was a good Resurrection Day question??
Thank you for taking time to respond elf.

I was curious.
It's very interesting to me.

I'm just going to write because I really dont like speaking before people. I opened my program for recording to record and talk to you all but it makes me nervous and I lose all I wanted to say. Whenever I made a narrated video I had to make a transcript, and a prayer transcript would be forced. Please forgive me about that. I want whatever I will say on here to really naturally pour out.

First I wanted to thank you all - so many of you have come to fellowship together. It was a great surprise (I expected few people at most) and you all made my day. Today was spiritually challenging for me but God brought victory in the end. I partook in the bread and wine with such thankfulness and broken spirit (in a good way). I was reading some of your responses and crying. There's not really much to say beyond that, so that's why I was really short when I came on here.

@Reborn - you didnt do anything disorderly. I didnt want the conversation to be led by anything but the Holy Spirit as we remember the Resurrection and His body and blood, so I didnt give any specific rules. It's totally okay to say whatever is on your heart and what fellowship is really about... we just let the Holy Spirit lead and I enjoyed this evening with you all. I was just a bit sidetracked over here.

In addition to what elf said about relationship, I really have been seeing this day as being about fellowship. Many of the first Christians really loved one another so much without malice, gossip, conceit, lording over, assuming, condemnation, or anything like that. Paul was heartbroken about departing from them. It was really to be in Heaven among other believers. I am praying that all we do together will be helpful and done for uplifting of others that read our posts on CC, and in our lives as well. I am especially praying that we (speaking about myself too) will set aside all petty stuff and focus on Jesus. Let Your power flow down from above, God, and fill us. AMEN

I was with family and a friend most of the day but what a wonderful thread.

Dear Father, Son and Holy Spirit thank You all for the plan of salvation and working so hard for all of us sinful humans. You never give up and Jesus You gave us Your all when You died on the cross for our sins. We can never thank You enough and so we humbly have gathered to give our hearts to You in love and ask that You continue to unite us together in the love that You have shown us. We praise You and want to serve You. Holy Spirit please come and dwell in each of our hearts and help us to spread the gospel so we can help others find their way to You. Forgive us our sins and Father please bring us home to You soon. In Jesus Name Amen.

@ Soul

"I'm just going to write because I really dont like speaking before people."

:(

There are progs, like balabolka or LOQUENDO, that can "read" the text using the voice you wanted.

I have used "Loquendo" for ads for radio stations and those were broadcasted in a way some local listeners (nearby my home) thought there was a new "boy" on their block.

MicroSoft also has it in their Windows, but I´m afraid users have to pay to download better voices (TTS = Text to Speech)
