QUOTE from posthuman:

it's been my experience that you get happier chipmunks, insects and rabbits in the yard when you don't scrape and selectively poison the life out of it. if you never mow at all you get even larger animals hiding out there hee hee hee

END QUOTE................

yes...........however IT ALSO LEADS to much, much happier SNAKES!

my next door neighbor has a son who is 30 ish living at home with him. the neighbor hires me to cut his grass and do other yard work. the son sits on the porch and smokes cigs. interesting.
Maybe he's afraid theres a snake hiding somewhere in the grass? Or he's allergic to grass (or work)?

Reckon there are good reasons for the expression "Hit me like a snake in high grass" ;)

Two words. ...john deere.....I love riding the lawn mower......I like digging in the dirt....I had a push mower with power
drive....you don't have to push it....but sometimes you have to chase it....lol
A motor mower is a great idea, except that our lawn is just too small to make one viable, and just big enough to cause my back problems... :)

I don't have much yard to mow, the front takes about 5 minutes, the back takes a while because I have to mow around a swing set. Once and a while I also get a causality that get's stuck, a Lego toy or Power Ranger.

Often it's the shape of the lawn rather than the size that is the problem... :)

The nearest we have to what you have, Sir, is a friendly raccoon that takes an interest in our recycling... :)

I feel blessed knowing that each time I have to mow the 10 acres I take care of God answers my prayer by giving me the strength to accomplish the task at hand............

back aches every time........but nothing compared to the agony of the arthritic pain in my hips and knees..........

If NOT for God............I would be disabled this very day.......and in my heart, I know this to be true..........
