LOL..TinTin is all giddy now. Doctor Who is one of those shows I had no use for growing up. I just didn't "get it". I wanted lightsabers & Force choking & carbonite! I must say, over the years the few episodes I dropped in on seem kind of interesting, though as to a plot or story line I still have no idea what's going on. I think one day I will have to pull up a seat & at least watch the newer stuff starting back with Eccleson? is that his name...I know him from Dog Soldiers. lol anyways...looks like the Doctor has certainly come a long ways since the day I used to walk in on my step-dad watching Tom Baker as the Doctor. (I must say, whenever PBS begged for money,I always wanted to send in enough money for that scarf, but someone told me all you get are the instructions of how to knit it) LOL WHO knows? (hahaha see what I did there)

The Name of the Doctor was fantastic. Having John Hurt show up at the end as great. I like the test of not learning the doctors name, but learning instead somewhat why its the doctor and how important that part is to him

Well Matt Smith is signed on for at least another season so you get next year with him too. The faceless guys were called Whisper Men and are basically just henchmen of the Great Intelligence who is actually Yog-Sohgoth of the old ones. The John Hurt doctor is apparently a 'forgotten' regeneration. The current theory is that during the time war the 8th doctor regenerated into John Hurt. He then did something so terrible and unforgivable that the doctor wiped that part of his life from memory as best he could. Whatever was done this regeneration could no longer call himself the Doctor. He then became chris eccleston hence the current run we are one and why Eccleston, Tennant, and Smith always stat acting really weird when people mention the time war or genocide.

Another reason for the forgotten regeneration theory is the fact that Joh hurt is wearing an amalgamation of the 8th and 9th doctors signature outfits.

I feel like the conclusion for every doctor who episode is the same if theyre werewolves theyre alien werewolves, if theyre ghosts theyre actually alien ghosts after finishing season 1 I couldnt handle it anymore and went on to better fantasy BBC shows like Merlin.
