maybe i'm the only one who doesn't have a "TRUE" passion.. seriously.

I've done a lot of things that i love to do like #1 basketball, in the middle school i fell in love with basketball literally!!! i always practice all day every day everytime whenever i have spare time, i never leave my basketball even when i eat my dinner i have my basketball on my side, i always carry my basketball and dribble dribble and dribble everyday until i get really good at it and make it to my school basketball team..
but everything's changed when i went to highschool, ALL OF my new friends don't play basketball and that makes me stop playing basketball.. since then, i broke up with my basketball :(

in highschool i'm trying to find new things to do, and i found #2 beatboxing was really cool, fun and awesome!!
i can say i fell in love with beatboxing LITERALLY!! i practice every single day just like how i did with basketball.. i beatbox everywhere at the school, in my bedroom, in the BATHROOM (that was my beatbox studio lol), everywhere! i still remember that day when i was nonstop beatboxing while walking back home from school.. i kept doing it until i get really good at it and all the people at my school recognized me as a beatboxer. but when i get graduated from highschool, i stopped beatboxing. i don't really know the reason why.. i just don't feel like it's awesome anymore.

and then i tried to find new things #3 making 3D animations, i fell in LOVE with it! for me that's really awesome!! i love to make things that is real/imaginary into digital or 3D!! but my love with 3D animations didn't last long..
because i went to college and my mom and my big brother told me to take Informatics Engineering as my major, instead of Graphics Design :( i told them that i love to do 3D animations things but they didn't care..

i really don't like things that i found in my college right now.. Informatics Engineering :( i don't like programming, calculus, and all things that use logic.. because i'm stupid i don't like complexity lol. I don't like any of them, but still i'm trying to do my best at college. I've tried to fall in love with Computer Networking, but i think it doesn't work.. because i know deep in my heart i don't like her :D

so here i am right now, i don't really have TRUE passion like you do.. :(
i think i'm just going to do what God wants me to do, but i still don't know what He wants me to do.. lol
i still don't know what is my calling, but i'll keep on asking and keep on waiting.. :)

Lord may our first passion in life be for precious soul's in our service of Lord as Living Letter's. May we always be compelled by this love in any interest that we pursue that our goal in goal glorifying Yaweh be to pour our hearts that more souls come into the Kingdom of God! Besides I always love the thought of having a large extended family when come into the presence of my Lord.

these you call passions sound more like hobbies. its great you can be so dedicated to 1 thing and get good at it, that lets you know you can do and be good at anything you put your mind to. but what separates a passion from a hobby is hobbies change like seasons, passions are with you for good.

For me it's all about "fishing......."

My first passion is to strive to walk Christ-like, and I need lots and lots of practice to accomplish that........but walking Christ-like includes being the best possible fisherofmen that I can be.......... :)

My second passion is to strive to be the best possible fisherman that I can be...........and I need lots and lots of practice to accomplish that as well........well, that's what I tell everyone when they question the time I spend trying to catch that lunker of a Blue Cat that got away from me last time....... "

God bless.........

When I was about three it occurred to me that there was a God. I lived with people who never thought about that, in a lumber camp far from town, but I began searching. I am still passionate about learning to know Him and how He operates.

I am also passionate about beauty. I always backpacked to be out in it. I paint with oils to try to capture it. I sew clothes to try to express it. Paint on silk. Bead with brilliant beads and crystals. Study houses to understand why some express beauty and some don't. I look for beauty in faces--not the painted on kind but real from the heart beauty and just enjoy when I find it, and wish I could capture it on canvass with paints.

When I was born I had no passion except for the instinct to stay alive. As I grew older certain things at different times got my interest more than others and for various periods of time I became interested in them and seemingly “passionate” about them at the time. So as far as I’m concerned one is not born with a passion for anything. Passion is acquired as the result of interest in a particular way of life or object. Currently my only passion is Christ, everything else is just a distant interest.

I'm passionate about writing and creating unique ways to conduct a program with a church service. I do not prefer the norm. I like to present an entire theme/program for the church service in a different but still spiritual manner and the Lord gives me great ideas to use the speakers to present in such a way.

God knew you before you were born. God made you the way you are. just because you didnt know your passion fresh out the womb doesnt mean you didnt already have that passion in you.

i was lucky to find my real passion at 15 in cutting hair.. some people never find their passion for lack of wanting to try new things. but God gave everybody a passion. imagine a world where people didnt have passion.. what would ever get done? passion comes from God. God knew you before you were in the womb.

This sounds a little sad..........sorry for that...........and by sad, I am not criticizing, rather praying for your soul to find peace. I see by your profile that you are "unsure" of your spiritual status........have you given your life to Christ? Or are you still trying to make a decision in that area? Either way, I will pray for you........and God bless you.......

Why does it make you feel sad that Christ is my only passion? Is there something else you feel I should be passionate about that would make you feel less sad for me? And may God bless you too and thank you for your prayers.

Yes... I know that God knew before I was born that my passion would be His Son Jesus Christ..... But that passion did not arrive until some time after I was born.... I was not born with a passion for Jesus Christ. I was a sinner with a passion for lawlessness. I'm glad you found your real passion for cutting hair at 15.... you must be amazing at it and I'm sure you make a lot of people very happy. Making people happy because they look better is a wonderful gift.

Certainly not! I was referring to the wording of your post........it just struck me that you may be feeling sad in your soul. As your profile says you are "unsure" of your spiritual status...........Maybe I misunderstood your comment, if so, sorry for that, but it just sounded as if you were experiencing sadness to me...........anyway, God bless and keep you.

  • Visual Art - I'm glad I discovered this passion

  • Babies and small children - But they grow up so fast!

  • Feline friends - When I'm old, I'll probably have a cat zoo...in my house

  • Science - I was the kid who enjoyed attending science fairs. The best part was meeting other kids who made DNA models out of gummy bears, then we got to eat 'em afterward

i love cutting hair... 1st, to look at your work and to know that YOU made this mans hair look as good as it does.. then for them to look at it and be happy and feel their spirits get lighter and see the visible satisfaction is priceless.

and what makes cutting hair a great passion is you can do it and make a living out of it. truly, never working a day in your life. just doing what you love and making a living out of it.

but thats the key to passions.. finding that underlying passion that can be productive.

for every invention, there was a man passionate about what he does behind it.

Thank you for your sincere concerns my friend. I found the “spiritual status” question a little vague so I put “unsure”. I think of the word “status” to mean some sort of measurement like “rank” or “position.” What currently is my exact rank or position according to God only He knows but I have been growing since I’ve been saved and I know I still got a lot more growing to do so your prayers for me are very welcomed.

May God bless you for your concern p_rehbein
