Back in MY day, gaslighting used to MEAN something. These days any old argument can make someone accuse you of gaslighting. Back then you had to EARN it! It wasn't enough to disagree with someone or get what you wanted. You had to start with a person who was objectively right, and make him think he was wrong, and that he was crazy for thinking the way he did.

When he apologized for being right, then you knew you had earned the title of gaslighter. But these days they just hand out that title to anybody they disagree with.
