What you are describing has been going on since the beginning of time. you look in the old testament and what do you see people with no faith in god to keep his commandments and God doing what ever he can to get people to listen and love him. And since the beginning its always been faith all the OT prophets had faith while the others would get caught up in the day to day life. I have been a Christian for a long time! but it took me this long to finally see what God wants and its in Ecclesiastes which basically says all this stuff in this world that a person can get or want to get means nothing ! with out God. And faith in Jesus for our salvation is just the opening salvo! its what faith in God means is to totally trust him in our day to day life but also a total focus and it is true that when you tune out this world and tune in to God the stress of everything goes away.

Hello there,

We are not in a position to know the heart of another. It is before God we stand or fall, and He is able to make us stand. It is fatal to look at those around us, or to look within for that matter. We are to stay our minds on Christ our Saviour, and trust God to keep His Word. For it is in Him we trust.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
lean not to your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him
And He shall direct your paths

We are His workmanship.
Praise His Name.

In Christ Jesus
Chris

Glory to God for your opinion my brother:D I thank you Father for my persecution
.....and shouldn't we ALL thank God for OUR persecution?............

QUOTE FROM OP: And for those of you who think that "I'm not one of those people, she is not talking about me" you're right..... you're ten time worse for thinking that you have it all together that's pride and now you see yourself wise in your own eyes.
END QUOTE............

Let me sound off a bit here............On CC, it is a daily thing to see people post comments ranting about what is WRONG with the Church, WRONG with congregational worship, WRONG with Scripture, WRONG with various denominations, WRONG with God or Jesus..........WRONG with pretty much everything to do with the Christian Faith.......

Not for nothing............but after awhile, I really don't need to read that stuff anymore. They always talk about how the Holy Spirit, or Jesus, or even God spoke to them and inspired to demean and belittle all things Christian.

QUESTION: IF GOD IS A GOD OF LOVE, how is it even possible that He NEVER inspires people to speak about what is RIGHT, GOOD with His Church, His people, His Word?

Anyway, my comment was directed specifically at your commentary and not you personally...........

Ephesians 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Wow, does or has anybody heard of Satan? You are either for Christ or against Christ, the world we live in is not gray, it is dark, very dark because the ruler of this world is Satan. We, or Adam for that matter lost in sin and transgression, And a usurper took it: sin and death and hell and Satan and iniquity and judgment and wrath and the curse took away our inheritance as it is unto this day. So we have two spirits so to say, running to and fro in this world, the Holy spirit that seals the blood bought and the spirit of anti-Christ, simple and easy to understand. But yet most don't know of such things? So if there is any truth to that, then if one opens his or her mouth with ungodliness, who is talking? Or if one praises God, who is talking? Come on it's a no-brainer.

The churches are lukewarm. You are right to say that. You are young but know more than most of the people twice your age. Judgment is coming quickly and you carry God's warning call. So do I.

Oh and my sister you won't lose your zeal because once you have a relationship with Jesus its hard not be obsessed(in a good way) with him because you are always finding new things about and he is such a loving humble man you always want to be around his presence and person so don't worry keep praying and fighting don't listen to what people say because sometimes they can take your mind of track:eek:
Sister, I thank you very much for your positive words and encouragement. Don't worry, when people tell me I will lose my zeal it just makes me work harder to learn as much as I can so I can continue my walk with all of the grace and love that I feel right now. I am not much for being a follower. If people think I am going to do something or be a certain way just because they said I should, they are mistaken. The only one I follow is God.

(you might want to use caution with your praise.............we have had very wise 18 year olds here before........just saying)

Now, exactly how many church congregations have you visited to be able to state "the churches are lukewarm?" There are over 3,000 church congregations in Alabama alone. Have you visited every one of them? Just wondering.

Why do people take every opportunity to demean/degrade churches? Don't y'all know Jesus is the Head of the Church?

Would it kill people to actually try to be positive?

Don't know............just wondering

So, why don't you pray that God lays upon your heart the need to speak of the "Good News?"

GOD IS LOVE.....................Why not approach it from that direction?

(just saying........look at all of the NEGATIVITY being posted here, is that representative of the Good News?)

...............goodness................

I love this. I truly wish we would see more positivity here and in the world. For whatever reason, people tend to focus on the negative things instead of looking on the bright side. What is there to be mad or upset about? We have Christ, what else could anyone need/want?
