All I got was a bunch of ice and the worries about losing power:( Thank goodness the power stayed on but, my church was open to anyone in need so at least I had a warm place to go if I needed it:)

I think I am finally winning my fight with the flu---yay! I actually feel half-way decent today. Still running a low-grade fever, though. Even being sick, I am thankful to the Lord for each day that He gives me.

Good morning! Thank you for all of the prayers. I slept really well last night and am not running any fever this morning:) God is so good, I thank Him for leading me here so I can make new Christian friends.

Also, I woke up to actual snow falling----not ice!! The snow won't last for long but, it is so much prettier than ice.

Good morning again, another day in the Lord. Whether in turmoil or all things going well, what can I learn today? and you also? If I have not learned something,m anything each day, then am I stagnant or think I know all?

Good morning to all. I hope you all do not mind I have kind of invaded your thread. Things are so nice and positive here, I could not help myself. Seriously, if I am intruding, please let me know, I do not want to be a nuisance.

What will we learn today?

I am learning something new everyday by reading and studying my bible. Being a new Christian, I have a lot to learn. I never imagined I would enjoy reading the bible so much! God is so good, He has made me hunger the Word!!

What do you want to learn today? There probably is not much I could teach you unless you want to learn some math (I teach Algebra 1). I am going to take a wild guess and say that there will be plenty of posts today that inspire you to learn something or teach someone else. Do you get as much out of teaching as you do learning?

Welcome Toska, here and on any thread you choose to chime in on. Learning is a constznt for me, along with anomalies. I am glad to hear you have a hunger for God's truth in his word. I have found it is not the word that sets me free, rather the truth of the word, revealed by God to me, as I along the way have made many mistakes in understanding it. God has always been faithful to correct me. This I trust in, an d listen to others, yet always screen everything through me the hidden man of my heart, to be separated, truth from error

Thank you very much, homwardbound. Do you want to know what I have found amazing? After I was saved, the bible became so much clearer to me. I understood the Word more than I ever had before in my life. I love reading it and, like you said, finding the truth in the Word. God is so glorious, the way He opened my eyes--I cannot praise Him enough. But, that does not stop me from trying:)

Don't be ridiculous. I love homwardbound his the brother I never had, God has blessed us all here with special someones. :) you included Toska hugs

Thank you. I enjoy these threads because they are so positive and uplifting. I am happy that you have found a brother in homwardbound--he is a pretty special guy. It is nice to have a place to give thanks to God and have fellowship with some pretty special people:) Hugs to you, too.

Sunday morning...........Mom's at home with Jesus, and I am preparing to journey to my home church to fellowship and worship God, and to mourn the passing of my Mother, and a dear friend to all my church family.........While we mourn, our mourning is not for her, rather for our loss...........

Someone asked me last night how I was doing...........well, it was hard to come up with the right words to express what I was feeling then and now this morning..........best I could do was to say that my heart hurts........and there is a very real sense of emptiness........a loss of a presence........I know she is no longer in this world..........and while I rejoice that she is home with the Lord, I hurt for my loss of her loving presence in my life.

God bless you each and every one.
