Because of what I feel and how I've changed through his love and guidance.

In East Tennessee I lived about 3 miles away from my workplace and rode a bicycle, and for four years the rain organized itself around my work schedule. That's good enough for me.

I didn't even go to a church at the time. All I knew was that when I was a kid in Sunday school they told me God cared about me and I could ask him for what I needed. So I did.
Funny. Tuesday night is trash night/recycle night. Every time I have enough stuff to require an additional cardboard box to go out for recycling, it rains, so the box would get wet and all the stuff in it would melt into a mess on my sidewalk before the trash guys could take it. I've come to think of Tuesday night as guaranteed to be rainy/snowy. I figure God is chuckling at me.

And yet, three times it was important enough to me to ask the Lord for a weather-favor.
My wedding day it was supposed to rain all day. He had the rain hit early, then stopped for the wedding, reception and time to get to the hotel room. Not only did he stop the rain here, but the Phillies were playing the last game of the regular season in Montreal in a year when they would win the World Series. I chose wedding over that game, and yet when we got to the hotel room, (and hubby really needed some sleep, since he hadn't slept the night before for some reason
), I discovered the game had been delayed by rain. That's where our rain went! And the Lord let me watch Schmidtty's last home run hit of the season.

Dad was getting married in Syracuse in March. Syracuse, where the annual snowfall is 200 inches. So I prayed for no snow. Blizzard all around Syracuse, but not in Syracuse!

And a couple of years ago, hubby was just waking up from a long sleep, so I wanted to visit him in the hospital every day. 20 inches of snow was predicted for us, so I asked the Lord for it to not snow when I was going to visit him. Should have been a bit more precise. It was over by the time I was going to visit him, but the city was shut down, so I still couldn't go. lol (I know that was the Lord telling me I needed a day off. He even provided the "want your sidewalk cleared" guy before I was ready to tackle cleaning the sidewalk.)
