I see too many who teach with cans of worms, it is like the brawling woman, and it breaks my heart. There are more debates, than testimonies. More anger, than joy. Seeing people come here with a contrite, and willing to learn, just to have someone berate them about their confession. CC is in my prayers!

yeah too many are harsh or debateful instead of understanding, helpful, and actually wanting to accomplish bringing people toward God!

Seeking family - I want you to know while you see ungodliness, I have received godliness from you which has encouraged my faith, never forget the victory in yourself in Christ you offer others and its power to influence lives. The tendency is in us all to say, "You must not trust in feelings"; perfectly true, but if your religion is without feeling, there is nothing in it. If you are living a life right with God, you will have feeling, most emphatically so, as I see in your spiritual intercessory prayer commitment. But you will never run the risk of basing your faith on feelings.

The Christian is one who bases his or her whole confidence in God and His work of grace, then the emotions become the beautiful ornament of the life, not the source of it.

God, if He is calling you to be nourished and serve Him in another capacity at this time in your life - Go! With our prayers and support; and know we will miss you! But if you are being pulled away and depressed by our enemy, then I (in Christ) stand in his way in my prayers! But, we all need to realize God is in control of our lives and sometimes God is simply working in us to characterize us in Him all the more. We start out with the notion that God is an almighty piece of ourselves, but God can never be on the side of any individual; the question to ask is - "Am I on God's side; and am I moved by what moves Him?" If so, move to do His will in it confidently. If there is any inkling that there is a part of us which is not yet fully submerged in Christ, He walks alongside us and fills in what we lack thru Character building and divine interaction in love.

Seekingfamily, you have been a blessing; and you have found a family here - look thru the thorns it is there! - don't hesitate in continuing to be God's love lived out to others yourself. For the Bible says, he who hesitates is lost. (John Wesley) writes, "Give me a hundred people who fear nothing but God, and who hate nothing but sin, and who know nothing but Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, and I will shake the world." We are not asked to feel confident in ourselves outside of Christ, and do the light of Jesus for the worlds sake, you must understand that as we are in Christ we are the light of the world - period! Never doubt how much you are that light to us here, and in the world. And never doubt how, many here, need His light thru you! I pray you are encouraged by my words. Again, if this is God's will for you to leave, even temporarily, then I will support His will in prayer! May God richly Bless you my friend and sister in Christ. ~Dan~

Time spent alone with G-d is never wasted and can refresh us for the next round of doing His good will by His direction where and when he sends us. I suppose even the contention on a Christian site can strengthen us to better live out His plan for our lives in this sometimes contentious world.

We will miss you. Why not just limit yourself to a few days a week? Or just one hour a day? Cut back?

Last message for the day...Since my spine surgery, I have been on CC just about everyday, 7 am to 10 pm. I am only going to take a break/rest, like a Sabbath day. Not walking away for good! Some have privately wrote me, and with their loving words, have been edifying with encouragement! Love you all! Thank you

Some of the CC threads are like rough back alleys, like the ones you need backup to enter...or rather just stay clear...

That is funny, and I have to drink a 5th of vodka just to get on Christian Chat, for it is the only way I can deal with it.

9 tenths of my posts,I do not remember writing them.

One person that worked at AA said, dude you need help with your drinking, and I said with a sad look on my face, but I go on Christian Chat, and he said,oh never mind as he got off the phone with the AA organization, and went to the store and came back with a 5th of vodka, and said, dude you are the only person that I heard that had a valid reason to drink, lol.

It is not that bad,and the arguing does not bother me,but what is strange to me is the scriptures are plain to see what it means, but people will say it means something else,or ignore them.

Too many people allow things of the world, and what they believe, and like, that is not part of the Bible,to become part of the Bible, which is why the Bible is the most misinterpreted book in the history of mankind.

Arrogance is a big factor, for when people come to the conclusion of what they believe, they will not change their position even if one rose from the dead and told them, for they can convince themselves in the name of arrogance that what they believe is right no matter what is brought up to them, however they do that justification.

But I am human and have the possibility to do the same, but I only hope I do not,but maybe I do for if you are arrogant and think I am right out of arrogance alone, will I pick up that I am being arrogant, and wrong if someone points out something that is plain to see I am wrong.

The world is a bunch of idiots calling each other idiots,so if I call someone an idiot then I have to call myself an idiot, for we have all done wrong, and possibly some stupid things,so I have to let it slide, and not get so upset by the idiot things people say,and do,for I may some say,and do,something idiotic, for who knows what the future holds concerning our behavior, for we are still in a fleshy body, and there is no good thing that dwells in the flesh.

Read Seven's post and thread. Laughter is a good way of steering depression away.

Despite what many will have you believe, we really do have quite a few people who aren't all doom, gloom, and
!

You're part of the proof.

SF, you have certainly made a positive impact in our hearts...TY...
your honesty and sensitivity have been very refreshing...

ROMANS 14:19.
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace,
and things wherewith one may edify another.

1PETER 5:10.
But The God of all Grace, who hath called us unto His Eternal Glory by Christ Jesus,
after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

When I was a young man I experienced some depression. I got some counseling and came away feeling better. I think I viewed them as confessionals. In the long run I think the solution was in some lifestyle changes I made, led by the Lord.

Seeking,

You seem to have a very sweet heart and great sense of humor.

You're a great addition to the CC family, and while I wish you rest and a blessed time away, I also hope that you will come back soon.

<3 God bless you.
