i love wall-e so captivating and hachi: a dog's tale very heartwarming, i used to cry when i watched this.
schindler's list a very good too, but it's really the hardest movie to watch :(
braveheart was really great modern epic
gladiator..its pretty violent, but it also has a good moral..

yes please.. hmm..okay i don't like the movie that has brutal violence deaths/murder and horror. Can you suggest good story, decent pacing and great ending movie?

I also noticed you listed anime movies. While I would tread with caution in that area...here are a few I found to be good.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whisper_of_the_Heart_(film)

Arrietty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

5 Centimeters Per Second - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Grave of the Fireflies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Summer Wars - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Again, if you give me more specifics of what you like, I can tailor movie recommendations to your particular taste.

My tastes are eclectic, so I recommend nearly everything; however, I do my best to stay away from what is evil, disturbing (without good reason), blasphemous, and other such negative content.
oh yes i forgot to list grave of the fireflies it was absolutely heartbreaking, i cry hard after watching this, it was awesome.. and summer wars was such an amazing film too! i'm gonna check out all other you've suggested. Thanks! :)

have you watch the "howl's moving castle?" i love that movie, i recommend it.

@ofm

i've seen the devil's advocate, the town (those are very good thriller movies) other than that i'm not sure, cause i'm really not tough in terms of bloody action films, but i'm looking forward to seeing Hero and Beowulf. Thanks! :)

the book of "The count of monte cristo" was perfect..
Good deal. Well, those mixed with my anime suggestion post should be enough to occupy at least a few days worth of time. I'll be happy to recommend more once you're finished.

I've seen both the original and a remake. Good story that will send chills down your spine.

Ok here is my latest currently downloading acquisition of films

Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy(Swedish with English Subs)
Funny Games(German with English Subs)
Old Boy(Korean with English Subs)
I Saw the Devil(Korean with English Subs)
13 Tzameti(Georgian in French with English Subs)
Let the Right One In(Swedish with English Subs)

I've started to realize that foreign films are just above and beyond their english remakes or most of what major US Studios produce.
