Is this your first time meeting ballaurena? She's REALLY heavy into divination.
No... we went around in another thread.... I don't think she likes me much, which hurts my feelings...

I didn't know about the special psychic abilities, though.... it must be a heavy burden, knowing all those things about everyone....
I don't suppose I'll ever be "spiritual" enough for that, according to her....

I dunno... There are some instances of genuine insider knowledge straight from God. Not just in the Bible, but modern day.

On the other hand, even in the Bible there were some people who legit had insider info, but it was from the wrong source.

I take my cue from Gamaliel in Acts 5. If it is not from God, it'll fall apart on its own in due time. If it is from God I don't want to be fighting against it.

Your question reminds me of... me. When kids at w*rk start talking about "Well he's a capricorn, so you gotta expect him to do that" I'll ask them what my sign is. They've known me for months. If that astrology stuff is real, they should be able to take what they know of my personality and tell me which sign I am.

They never, ever, EVER get it right, not even on the fifth guess.
I'm a Capricorn too. No, I don't follow astrology which is totally bogus. Jesus was a Capricorn too.

Yes this is a good balanced view.

I am not really liking the notion of a God who would give someone else insider knowledge about me without having met me.... seems a bit like God being a tabloid publisher or something.:giggle:

In my experience God doesn't do that. When it's from God it's often amazingly discrete. God seems to operate very much on a need-to-know basis.

Multiple times God has sent me a message - and I know it was from God because the messenger could not possibly have known to tell me what he told me - but God sent it in a way that the messenger himself had no idea what was going on. But God did still get the message through to me that "Hey I know where you are and what you're up to, but I still love you and I'm actually quite concerned about you right now." God puts no value on gossip and airing dirty laundry for no good reason.

On the other side it can be annoying to be the messenger and have no idea what is going on. But you know better than to ask. Just say what God said to say and move on.

But God is not the only source. Remember the girl with the spirit of divination in Acts 16? I find it interesting that she didn't say anything untrue. Everything she said was factual. But Paul commanded the spirit to leave anyway.

If it's from God it will be for a very good purpose, and it won't be spread around for everyone's curiosity. But a spirit of divination can be from another source, with another purpose.

But my goodness, this thread has gone far afield!

Sorry OP. This thread is supposed to be about whether or not we will see Trump in Heaven.

One of the arguments against Trump being saved is that, after being asked, he claimed that 'he didn't need forgiveness'. And, although I'm not aware of the full context of that interview, who posed the question and why Trump chose to answer so curtly, offering him charity in interpretation would amount to translating that as, "that's a hostile question I'm not going to entertain and there are no sins that I haven't already confessed to God that I am going to publicly declare and neither you, nor anyone else, has the right to the privilege of knowing." I just view a video on the subject of sobriety constructed of a collection of clips containing celebrity commentary about alcohol include one by Trump. He said something like, "I have never had a drink...I've never had a cigarette...Don't worry, those of only two of my good things. I don't want to tell you about the bad thing...there's plenty of bad things too. But I learned..."

Maybe he sees he has something in common with Trump, the robbery of legitimate votes for him.

.... and he ate organic food.
For those of you that are less "seasoned" than I am.... that was a reference to Kris Kristofferson's song.... he even had an album by that name.... "Jesus was a Capricorn".....

Here are the lyrics, for your enlightenment.... he is an amazing songwriter and lyricist...

Jesus was a Capricorn
He ate organic food
He believed in love and peace
And never wore no shoes
Long hair, beard and sandals
And a funky bunch of friends
Reckon may just nail Him up
If He come down again
'Cause everybody's gotta have somebody to look down on
Prove they can be better than at any time they please
Someone doin' somethin' dirty, decent folks can frown on
You can't find nobody else, then help yourself to me
Get back, John
Eggheads cursin', rednecks cussin'
Hippies for their hair
Others laugh at straights who laugh at
Freaks who laugh at square
Some folks hate the Whites
Who hate the Blacks who hate the Klan
Most of us hate anything that
We don't understand
'Cause everybody's gotta have somebody to look down on
Prove they can be better than at any time they please
Someone doin' somethin' dirty, decent folks can frown on
But you can't find nobody else, then help yourself to me
Help yourself brother
Help yourself Help yourself brother

My big question is.... why in the world are you requiring Trump to "be a born again believer" when you do not hold ALL presidents or candidates to the same standard?
Is Kamala born again? Being of Indian heritage, I seriously doubt it. What about Pelosi, and Schumer, and every other person that has been elected and put into office? Is AOC a believer? Was Biden a believer? How about Bill Clinton?

Why does it matter whether Trump is, or is not, born again? When did that become a requirement for the presidency?

Second question is..... who appointed ANY of you to "decide" whether another person is truly born again? How about you take your OWN inventory, and let every one else worry about their own salvation.

My goodness, you Pharisees amaze me....
In her book, The Truths We Hold, Kamala talks of her upbringing with her Indian mother. She regularly attended an evangelical church. Does that mean she’s born again? Probably not, but she knows a lot more about our Lord Jesus than i ever knew she did, as she quotes scripture often, within her book. For what it’s worth, Biden is Catholic. Bill Clinton professes to be born-again… only God knows!?! It’s not a requirement for being the President of the United States, but who, in their right mind would want to be the commander-in-chief of any nation (in these perilous times in which we live) without knowing GOD, except someone puffed-up in pride and arrogance who doesn’t believe they need Him, and or someone who is dangerously delusional!?!
