The devil has many tactics,
precisely...and he will use them all, not just one.
Once he has a person misled by one tactic, he will keep using all trying to keep one deceived by as many as possible.
what if a person is then misled by many things such as
: ones parents who may be misled
: T.V. and media
: questioning the bible
: believing evolution
: being a friend to the world thinking life is about happiness and doing what makes yourself happy
: addiction
: compromise
etc etc

His tactics are predominantly mental as opposed to physical.
Deflection, deception, influence, lying, motivation, earthly reward (money, fame, pride of life pride of self)

The enemy doesn't just make one move and hope his move triumphs like someone playing chess hoping his move isn't spotted and countered.
He Initiates all his moves until the point he can leave someone alone since after he has a person on enough strings.. then if they start to get led to truth all he has to do is pull as many strings as necessary to lead a person away again.

Even simply not believing in Christ while being the most honest most noble helpful peaceful person in the world, thinking they're a good person and have no struggles so do not need God... is enough to keep one out of heaven.

I don't recall thinking 'wow, I've seen this happen on here, I have to try it too!' :/
that's not how it happened. Eventually a weak individual is exposed to real witchcraft (wicca) of course everyone had already heard of a quiji board- not a far jump. But of course the magic concept and symbols weren't new (Fire, water, earth, air) (because of these kids games and shows) don't get me wrong there was definitely a new fear associated with actual witchcraft but we were growing out of being children so there is that sense that we are supposed to do more than play. Also because of those shows and games there is something familiar about it so it wasn't an alien concept. Spells and witchcraft. Which one of you never practicing witchcraft know that there are chants, symbols and ingredients needed to cast spells? how do you think you acquired that knowledge?.

The spells seemed simple and harmless enough, with several young teens unsupervised talking about the fantastic and already pretending magic was real playing D&D and magic the gathering we were just jumping from imagination to investigation.

Part of you didn't really think it was real, but what if it was? also with that many kids around it gave you goosebumps and something to do, laugh about and talk about. Eventually there were those who said they had done the spells and they worked. Those who swore it was real are the people who are still in it. I haven't spoken to them in years since the Jesus/ Goddess talk.

Whether this has mislead any of you or the people you've seen or not, it is diabolical in intent whether you believe it or not. Satan is deceptive. Do any of you really believe he would do something obvious to harm you or your children? Do you think he isn't after your children? Laugh at me, scoff at me, do whatever you wish. I hope there is one person who reads this even if it's a nameless guest who reads this at that one crucial moment and see's.

The games didn't bring the real witchcraft into my life, but at a weak point, at the right time (the few years surrounding puberty) when a kids goe from child to teen- Testing the boundaries of imagination and reality, we can experiment with dangerous things. Especially if a demon pulls some strings, which of course they do.

So, if you can't tell by my signature I am a brony.

For those of you who don't know a brony is a male (or female) who is outside the targeted age group (11+) who enjoy the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Yes, it sounds weird but don't knock it till ya try it. There's about 10 mil of us.

Anyways, I was confronted today by an atheist who told me that MLP is satanic. I asked him to elaborate and he tells me that the show is satanic because it supports "magic".

Now, we all know God is against magic, correct? But here's the thing - the magic God refers to is witchcraft. Not the magic that can come out of a unicorn's horn. Evidently, he's not getting that saying that magic is magic and there's no way around it. So, I was wondering what you fellow Christians have to say on his opinion.
I agree with your atheist friend. Magic is magic doesn't matter how it is packaged.

Midnitewelder stated it very nicely here

Magic gets one to practice faith in something other than God.
Even if it's just ..."playing" it is still the practice of ones actions to be deceived in pleasing one master with what we choose to entertain ourselves with rather than pleasing our true master.

It starts with the children, to get them desensitized to what displeases our Lord.
If the children are desensitized, then the next generation of adults is even worse than the last in being blind and even more resistant to hear any truths, if there are any people left by that time to speak Gods truths.
My neice was just telling me about some show she watched called Every Witch Way - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Anyway it is all abut witches ''good and bad''.
She won't be watching that anymore. Anyway it is all abut witches ''good and bad''.

I will agree with some of the people that if you are somewhat older then the focus group you may know the differences and not be as affected..but than that is why YOU aren't the focus group.

Maybe you needed a better quality of friends. I've played Magic the Gathering and D&D for almost 20 years now. So have most of the people I play with. The amount of times the game or anything else for that matter got us interested in practicing the occult? Zero.

It is hilarious though that some people think playing cards or rolling dice are going to make you practice witchcraft. Im so glad we have you..snicker, clearly "mature" believers to warn us of the evils of childrens cartoons and british wizardry novels.
Anyone playing with quija boards or D& D is already playing with the occult - Quija is conjuring up demons and D&D deals with magic, potions, spells, sorcery and witchcraft and curses. What do you think has to happen in order to open the door to the demonic and then what we specifically call as "the occult" as the broader subject term. You don't have to sit in a pentagram with candles around you summoning up demons to dabble into the occult.

The Bible calls rebellion as the sin of witchcraft!
From 1. Sam 15:23 "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry...

A person is already practicing witchcraft if they even pray against someones will or trying to control or manipulate their will.
Rebellion against God is like witchcraft, because you do the will of satan instead God's will. Whatever is not Christ is anti-christ.

Det 18:9-14
9 “When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not appointed such for you.

rest assured God is glad He has me. He was the one who called me in the first place. Maybe you should wonder why you mock your brother in Christ who is only trying to help? *snicker? =immaturity.

Your 'helping' is nothing but either fear-mongering or legalism. None of what you listed; Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Magic: the gathering, MLP is sinful. Not one. Yet you think you can make some sweeping declaration that they are all satanic and clearly only lead to people falling to witchcraft? Baloney. Just because maybe the people you knew were weak or were into things you aren't aware of, doesn't mean you just throw blame on stupid cartoons and harmless card games. Thats just irresponsible. I thought christianity had moved past the X is evil and satanic era. Guess i was wrong for some.

So now we lead to assumptions as to what I know or don't know, when it clearly has been acknowledged as to what I do know in earlier posts. Is there really any point trying to have a decent discussion with you?
So in other words, you just want to be ignorant on purpose, fine. Again, your choice.

Do you feel nothing is satanic or evil unless it clearly declares itself as such?

More like you're proving my point. Assume and be arrogant all you really want.

This is exactly what I mean. How can you call what Deadtosin just described as "foolishness" when he gave you first hand experience with these things and what he witnessed?
For many young people it starts out with just a little magic cartoon and then their curiosity is awakened to get deeper into this until it ends up with Dungeons & Dragons and Quija boards, and there is plenty of documented proof that many playing with these witchcraft "games" ended up committing suicide. You personally might not go that route but there are plenty that do. Just because you are not interested doesn't mean it does not harm many other children out there.

And again for everyone else in this thread. A video was posted here that explains exactly what we are talking about, did anyone of you that still demand proof actually watch it before you blame us not having provided proof? smh:rolleyes:
I was saying the act of his friends as foolish.

Sure, many series imply WITCHCRAFT, but not the cute and colorful magic in My Little Pony.

Big difference between witchcraft and friendship.

Some things surely are. But just because people disagree with something or simply dont like it doesnt make it satanic. It's like Jack Chick all over again. Drums in the church? Satanic. Ponies with minscule magic powers? Satanic. Its pretty stupid.

The Enemy doesn't prey on the weak, the Enemy preys on everyone. If you think the Enemy only preys on the week, watch out self-righteous Christians!

adjective, weaker, weakest. 1. not strong; liable to yield, break, or collapse under pressure or strain; fragile; frail:

clearly someone in a weakened state is more susceptible to suggestion and in more danger of being successfully assaulted. Why would you argue with that?

Good gravy! Sorry, that should be 'weak', not 'week'.

DeadtoSin, I would agree with what you said, with one caveat. We can be better prepared if we're in God's Word, running from temptation and repenting of our sins and resting in Christ, but we still have our own struggles. We're each 'weak' in some manner. Hence, why we need to be on our guard and have our eyes fixed on Him who is Life, Love and Truth.

I agree with you whole heartedly. The focus of my statement was there are many tactics used by satan that many strong christians wouldn't detect and might even scoff at. I've spent most of my life around people who didn't have stable households. I watched the movie "courageous" the other day and it got me thinking. I can't name a single close friend of mine ever since childhood who grew up with a father figure. I even spoke to my friends about it and we were all kinda blown away. Because most of us are friends together. Were we more susceptible because we had less supervision? did we rebel with a lack of discipline? I don't know. Looking back though I can see how one thing made it easier to go to the next though. Does that mean someone watching my little pony is sinning? that's not for me to say, but I can see symbols of the occult in all these little shows and games and the symbols came from somewhere, apparently all from the same source. Conspiracy? it doesn't have to be. Satan exists. Demons exist. They manipulate and fabricate. I can't speak for everyone else. But I can speak for a group of kids who came from troubled homes. In this day and age, there are a lot of them and it's very easy to lose boundaries of right and wrong, real and fake, light and dark. I like what someone else posted - A movie about "good witches and bad witches." Vampires that are good. Even love stories. I'm sure when you read this you probably throw up your hands at how ridiculous I sound. But it all looks pretty clear to me. Satan has infiltrated every fabric of our world.

True, just one correction. HP isn't about good wizards and witches. It's about people who've been born with magical abilities - more akin to fairytale magic (eg. turning people into frogs) than anything like the real world occult. I can see how there would've been far less controversy though, if Rowling had called them something other than 'wizards' and 'witches'.

Jesus said it best.
If any is not for me..... he is against me.
Lol Vampires for Christ, pseudo humans who don't die and drink peoples blood?
doubt it.
Magic which empower a person?
Just like what we feed our body what we feed our mind bears relevance in how healthy one will be spiritually.
If we feed our mind a little bible then a little satan are we not practicing lukewarm behavior.
Keeping one foot in heaven and one foot in the world.
Partial truth mixed with partial fantasy.

I remember an analogy once which went like this:
If I were to offer you a cup of water you knowing it was laced with strychnine would you drink it?
Probably not right?
Now what if I just sprinkled a little bit on some M&M's then offered them to you without you knowing.
You'd likely eat them but then wonder why you were slowly getting sick from the progressive accumulated affects.

That's what satan's influences are like.
He isn't gonna tell what he will use to poison peoples mind with.
A little poison here a little there, mix it with some sugar coated niceness...anybody want some?
why not everybody else is eating some and making it look cool while doing it.
The devil doesn't often come at a person proclaiming his intentions and methods and plan to allow one to be prepared.
He aint dumb.
That would only work once on one with discernment.
Of course that does work on those without discernment so as I mentioned he uses every tactic not just the deceptive ones.
The AC/DC song Highway to Hell.....He made it look like a party and everyone is invited.
The devil accepts everyone, that's the lure. Including Christians.
So when a Christian feels defeated then changes their status to "unsure" he is there waiting.
He don't play fair because he doesn't have to. doesn't care to. Why should he?
Just because we're suppose to be fair we expect him to battle on our terms?

Does a thing deceive in favor of the enemy..even being neutral which is still not for God since complacency and indifference are also against God.
Or Does it glorify God...that's the gauging factor.

we're held to a higher standard than the world, so why be friends with the world and be an enemy of God.
