sorry...... the site has done very well to make itself not look russian, but click on the terms of use and it talks about russian copyright laws. i did some research on this today, and they do pay royalties to the artists, but its at the discretion of the russian authorities, and if you're paying 15 cents per song, not much can be going to the artist. but even without the royalties issue, its still illegal to download from there unless you're russian. the site won't tell you that i don't think, but i don't think they have to. anyway, its all very complicated and i dont understand it, but google it and you'll see its not legitimate. the whole thing is very frustrating as its almost impossible to find somewhere to download music which has a good range, where you can pay for it, not break any laws, not have to live in the US or russia, and have at least some of the money actually go to the artist.

Sharp, I think this dilemma comes back to an underlying sinister cause here, cos all I see is AMERICANS being the priviledged few here, while the rest of us (esp in the beautiful SOUTHERN hemisphere) are treated like pawpers.........prejudice maybe??? Snobbery???
