because it is LOGIC :p

our number system is based on 10 numbers

0123456789

we count by ten in the metric system

1000g to a kilo__1000m to a kilometre (kilo MEANS 1000)

100 cm to a metre
10 decimeteres to a metre (deci MEANS 10)
Is that because you have ten fingers?

That, of course, would explain it, though maybe it was because George Washington had ten toes.

FRANCE WILL SOON force all the users of the metric system to start using metric time
1 day = 10 metric hours = 100 metric minutes = 1000 metric seconds
day, deciday, centiday, milliday

days hours minutes seconds
day 1.000 24.000 1,440.000 86,400.000
deciday 0.100 2.400 144.000 8,640.000
centiday 0.010 0.240 14.400 864.000
milliday 0.001 0.024 1.440 86.400

they are still working out the best way to get 1000 days in the year
once they do we will do away with months and have deciyears and centiyears Obviously a day will be a milliyear.

all this is because the French agreed to use of the meridien of greenwich for worldwide cartographic puroposes:)

milliday 0.001 0.024 1.440 86.400

A thousand days in a year. We could get a lot more accomplished. I process 150 units per day. I could triple my yearly output.

The years aren’t three times longer. There are simply three times as many days fit into each year, so you have to do three times as much work. There would be no time for sleeping or eating or anything else. It would be paradise, no?

naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

there are two choices to make a year 1000 days

A: move the earths orbit out past mars

B: make the earth rotate on its axis 3 times as fast; as ressurrecton suggested

if we go with B i will have to recalculate the figures:)
