Kirk, having found the code to de-activate the self-destruct sequence just in the nick of time, sees a stranger staring at the big screen and, assuming there is another tour in progress, addresses the stranger, “Hi, I am Captain James T. Kirk of the starship, Enterprise. Welcome aboard!”

The captain looks proudly at the weapons control panels on the bridge. Pointing at the phaser banks, he tells the visitor, “With these, I once destroyed an entire city.” He then motions in the direction of the photon torpedo controls. “With those I once destroyed a Klingon warship,” he says, beaming at his crew.
“Forgive me!” exclaims the captain. “What a bad host I am! Ensign, bring our guest some refreshments. Thank you, Kilden, for reminding me.”
The captain is too preoccupied with gazing at the beautiful city below, through the big screen, to hear the tap-tap-tapping at his weapons controls panels, where the visitor has stationed himself.

Suddenly Kirk becomes aware the city below is being attacked. He whirls around and sees the stranger at the weapons controls. Suspicious that there is a connection between the stranger and the trouble below, he covertly meanders over to where the stranger is seated. “Do you work here?” he casually asks the young man.
Kirk looks at the weapons panels and, seeing the stranger fervently pressing buttons, tells the stranger, “Hey, can you knock that off? There are real weapons connected to those buttons. You might be firing at that city below, for all you know.”
Kirk then glances at his watch and sees he’s late for lunch. They are serving turkey and dressing, his favorite food, so he hustles off, hoping the white meat isn’t already taken.
