Something was TERRIBLY wrong! There were no more marshmallows, and the car wouldn't start without being filled with them! Sometimes they would stop and gaze around, looking for the way back to Cleveland, but no sounds were heard and so the trees remained alone. Allllllllll alone.

Isn't it weird how that works?

The time traveling platypus new the ogre would not pay him 97 pounds of dragon snot agreed upon if he was late. If he could just find marshmellows. he could easily make up for the 3 minutes he was already late. One of trees just happened to grow marshmellows. but the tree was 158 feet tall and platypi are not good tree climbers. The tree agreed to give him the marshmellows in exchange for pencil shavings form the year 1577...but first he would need the marshmellows. so obviously. they would need to reach some sort of agreememt...

A deal was struck then; the tree would drop the marshmallows to the ground, the platypus would gather them and fuel the car, and he would return in the past to leave the historic pencil shavings in a place beside the tree when it was just a sapling, and then the platypus would make up for his lateness and be on time! But the tree needed assurance that the duck billed mammal would return, and so the platypus was forced to leave his watch. Would he be able to retrieve it in the past when he returned with the pencil shavings?

It should work, but he would have to hurry. The watch was programed to return to the its owner if left unattended for more than 3 hrs. He set his time dial for 1577 and departed. Upon arriving in 1577, he was confronted by...

A 3-inch tall purple caterpillar in a blonde wig, wielding a machete!! It leapt at the platypus, slicing and dicing, luckily more annoying than truly threatening, but a hindrance nonetheless.

The platypus, decided to try to talk to the caterpillar. Maybe he would know where to fond the pencil shavings. The caterpillar said ''i can tell you, but this information comes at a terrible price....

"....you must give to me your first born child to raise as my own!" The poor platypus was beside himself, for what could he do? He was late! He had no children! He was running low on marshmallows and he simply could not take any more stress! So he lifted his foot above the caterpillar's head and.....

I am much too late, and I have no children, nor will I ever have any children 'cause platypus only clone themselves to becoming more platypus when the old generation of platypus is leaving! Please, have mercy on me, and make another deal with me, as I need returning back in time for getting my watch back again!" Then the caterpillar...

Wait a minute.. how did the platypus get the watch..the ogre had it... remember...anyway..

He became impatient with this annoying little caterpiller. ''I bet he doesnt even know where to find the pencil shavings anyway'' the platypus thought. he picked up the caterpillar and threw him as hard as he could. ''That will teach him to mess with me!''.....

And then there came a chocolate bunny jumping past them, whilst humming on a sweet song. And the birds started chirping in choir, the wind blowing as music to our ears, the trees dancing in the wind, and the rest of the nature creation and animals all happilly lifting up their hands in lots of clapping, joyful cheerings and all singing along in that song that the chocolate bunny was humming. There was such an sudden happy atmosphere all around,.......

...until suddenly *POP*!!!! Out of nowhere (or a tear in the time/space continuum) came a steam engine and flattened all of the little forest critters! The platypus survived, but just barely, and he went off in search of the pencil shavings after stopping for a moment to scoop a bit of chocolate off a nearby rock...

The ogre looked at hiis watch again.. now the platypus was 30 minutes late. Something must be wrong because there is no reason for a time traveler to be late. He needed to find this platypus.. ''Maybe the Gummy Bear Queen can help'' thought the ogre........

And he went running through the forrests, through the jungles, even went jumping on universe stars just to manage getting back in time to save platypus from staying stuck in here where he doesn't belongs. He went through fire, water and through a lot of pain; But saving the platypus was what took over his mind and had much greater importance. And then he came to that nearby rock....

...where heard a familiar voice sayin ''I know left it here somewhere. Man I gotta find that transdiminsional travel device or the Gummy Bear princess will fire me for sure! The voice came from Squiggledee Frumpus the 3rd, a multi colored ginger bread who stood a full 7 feet tall. He was the head of the Scientific Council in the Gummy Bear Kingdom. The Gummy Bear Queen had instucted him to relocate the device, due to recent vandalism by Tinker Gnomes. He saw the ogre approaching and and said. ''Hello. good sir, can you assist me?''
