Can someone tell me where he said he was Muslim? I would really like to know. I don't think he is...Just because he's father was Muslim and his mom was an Athesist doesn't mean he is. He was raise by his grandparents who were Methodists. But I would really like to see the video of him saying he was Muslim.
That's what everyone says just because he want to school at a Muslim country, but I guess I kind of went with the media and not based on facts also

Nobody shoot me here: But I was rooting for HILARY CLINTON, until Obama won the nomination. I even voted for Clinton in the primarys. On my ticket I am Democrat so I voted Obama. I would have never voted for McCain anyway. Didn't like him in 2000, Don't like him now. The only Republican I would have voted for was Mitt Romney. I liked him, even though I was a Democrat. He main topic was the Economy and fixing it. But at that time, the government hadn't legally declared Recession, so alot of people thought the economy was good and didn't vote for him. But I would have.

I like Obama, than I don't. If Hillary ran in 2012 , I would vote for her.

I don't think Obama is a Muslim, His birth certificate says Hawaii. He never said he was for Gay marriage, I don't recall. He says now that he is against gay marriage But for abortion. I admit, I don't like his about stance about abortion. I just didn't like McCain, and Palin(I kind of liked her, prolly because she is pro life).

I don't see anything wrong for the president to say gay marriage is okay because it doesn't have to be his view as a president he needs to try to please the country not his beliefs. I can't stand Hilary heh!

He doesn't fit the features of the AntiChrist. He is anti God but he isn't THE ANTICHRIST.
The thing with abortion is the people who allow it usually don't realize its a child. I guess it was either him or McCain and I'd pick Obama over McCain any day especially since I can't stand Sarah Palin.

I didn't mean he was the acutual antchrist the Bible says that there are many antichrist and whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ is the antichrist.

We haven't been a Christian nation in several decades I think everything went down hill w/ Clinton's affair.
I totally disagree with his healthcare plan horrible idea.
If a sick man came to Jesus for aid, Jesus would not turn him away for not having enough money or enough coverage.

An international perspective, if I may.
Obama attended a CHRISTIAN school in Jakarta, Indonesia.
That does not necessarily make him a Christian, and it most certainly doesn't automatically make him a Muslim. That accusation is prepostorous and demeaning to the man.
And really, if we were to be truly non-judgemental, (as says the word), so what if he is?
The seperation of chuch and state is enshrined in the US constitution, as it is in all modern democracies.
You simply cannot expect every President of the USA to proclaim the faith. It may be distasteful for some, however it is a fact of life.

I really do feel that too many of you watch and believe Glenn Beck, Hannity and O'Reilly on Fox News word for word. Do some independent research for yourselves and don't swallow the GOP's media arm spin for your daily sustenance.

Obama, regardless of what you may think of him, has made this world a safer place. And remember this is from an international persperctive, not an insular USA point of view.
The rest of the world, in the main, welcomes the olive branch being held out to our "enemies", and hopes beyond hope, that his actions will eventually succeed.
However, they most probably will not as there are far too many vested religious interests at play here.
The jews are controlling the middle east via their US power brokers and the neo-cons are driving the military.
Obama is stuck between a rock and a hard place, and the sooner a few of us "Christians" get behind his policies, (and not necessarily the man himself), the safer the world may be for our children.

what?................
Is it somehow more dangerous in your view?
Are we still at war with Iraq?
Are we not engaging with Palestine and the disputed territories?
Are we giving israel a well deserved slap under the ear?
Are we now not openly trying, at least, to engage with North korea and Iran?
Are we concentrating efforts in Afghanistan on the real problem, instead of nation building?
Are we engaging with the russians on reducing the ridiculous amount of nuclear weapons?

I could go on.

Or would you prefer to focus on a minute amount of people who stick explosives in their underwear to kill a comparitively small amount of people to garner the largest amount of media coverage?

I completely agree. I'm not sure why everyone thinks intelligent diplomacy is less safe than waging ridiculous wars.

I didnt know australia was engaging with the palestinians
you sound like you think you are american
what do you know that i do not
Are we giving israel a well deserved slap under the ear? Go read Gen 12:3
On of the 3 thinks my australian prime minister gotright was voting in favour of Israel
I cannot think of anything for which Israel deserves a slap under the ear and if she did deserve it it would be God's responsibility

My apologies. I based my post on the premise that Australia follows US Foreign policy like a well trained poodle. Which we do of course., ever since WW2.
We followed their lead in Korea, Vietnam, Borneo, Iraq X 2, Afghanistan and every other theatre of war which the US called on its friends for support. And let's not forget our implicit support in areas such as covert survaillance, nuclear submarine communications and satellite communication interception. There is more to that list if you are interested my friend.
So, in my opinion using the term "we" is appropriate.

The middle east conflict is highly complex, the hatred deep seated and both sides are truly beligerent in their intransience.
However, it is about time that Israel showed some maturity as a sovereign nation by ceasing the hideous practice of bombing civilians with phosphorous incendiary devices, as happened recently in the receent conflict.
Why do they continue to insist on developing new housing in the west bank, that can only inflame the Palestinian situation?
Israels contempt for anything non-jewish is legend and needs to be curbed and altered for the sake of the region and the rest of the world.
Jesus was a peace loving man in the bible and one of the few times we saw him lash out in anger was at the Jewish bankers in the temple, were he was appalled at the their brazen behaviour and blatant greed.
That story mirrors the current Gobal Financial Crisis perfectly as, still today, we see Jews being firmly in control of the western worlds financial levers to the great expense of us all.
I get the feeling that Jesus would be kicking their butts out of there again if he still walked amongst us.

1. We aren't Jesus that's like comparing human compassion to Jesus' compassion
2. His health plan is helping out a lot of people who have babies for money and also its screwing the people who have worked hard for their money. His motive is good but I'm sure there's a better way.

Pray tell what is the better way?
At the same time, we have thousands of people dying of curable disease because they cannot afford hospital care... Believe me, it's wayyy too expensive to be sick in America.

And, as far as Obama goes, I am glad that he is the president.. I may not agree on some of his policy.. But, the other candidates creeps me out.
