I wasn't gonna weigh in on this topic but decided what the heck... Back in the day there was a non - denominational church I was a member of for 8 yes. One thing they used to do was on Halloween have something called Hallelujah Night. Pretty much they same as Halloween. They had a bonfire , gave kids candy ,Bob for apples, blah blah blah. The one difference was that kids could only dress up as Bible characters or something nuetral like a cop or firefighter. This used to really bother me at the time because I felt like what's the difference really? Yer still celebrating a night where it's origins are 100% linked to evil. They saw it as giving kids an alternative to going out and trick or treating and dressing up like monsters. I get it! Nowadays to be honest if ppl want to celebrate Halloween or Christmas or Easter , knock yourself out! Id like candy and brightly colored lights all year round if possible. LoL each person has to be sensitive to what they believe God is speaking to them. If yer convicted by carving a pumpkin and sticking a candle in it then don't! I've learned a lot since those day at my old church. While I may have been "right" in how I felt or my views on Halloween, I was wrong in my attitude and looking down at others , which is something I used to do a lot even without realizing it. BTW, I'll warn everyone now that this Christmas I'll be wrapping myself in Christmas tree lights and eating vast quantities of Russel Stover's chocolate Santa's! Let the judgement begin!!!! LoL 😂😂😂😂
