This is mostly stolen... but i was inspired when i stole it.
It's been fifty-four months and five whole days
Since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your love away

Since you been gone I can do whatever I want
I can sit wherever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing, I said nothing can take away these blues

Because nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby, where did you go?

I could put my arms around every girl I see
But they'd only remind me of you
I went to the doctor n'guess what he told me, guess what he told me?
He said boy u better try to have fun, no matter what you do.. but he's a fool

Cuz nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

All the flowers that you planted, mama, in the back yard
All died when you went away
I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard
I'm so willing to give it another try, but it's too late..

Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you
Nothing compares
Nothing compares to you

Yeah...
sinead o connor............... nothing compares to you....... absolutely my favorite song ever

My Scars

Would I prefer death more than life?
Why is there healing at the end of the knife?
With pain, I block out pain...
At least this way, I'll have one more day to gain...
Child, I am not in the skies...
I am infront of your sad eyes...
Please, look deep inside...
I am He who died...
And I hear your silent cries...
Another day has passed...
And my strength finally crashed...
I am here again, alone in my room...
I sit in my closet...
My own lonely tomb...
Please, open your eyes child...
I am cut for you...
No need, are your scars...
For mine paid the price for your dreams and stars...
Yet, you have no clue for how much I deeply care for you...
This inner void, so deep and so hollow...
As I cut through the pain...
I gasp, than I swallow...
As I drop the blade...
My thoughts and my tears are soon to follow...
Please, those are meant for me...
My scars are to set you free...
Those tears...
Your fears...
Your pain...
Your shame...
All meant for me...
With my eyes shut tight...
I block out all the light...
The pain is now gone...
The temporary healing has been drawn...
Those scars on your arms...
Those scars on your legs...
Those scars on your stomach and chest...
Where are the scars that you lack?
I had them whipped on my back...
I am listening to you.
I am here for you.
I am waiting for you.
And I love you.

Those scars don't belong to you...
They belong to me...
My scars are to set you free...

This is something I wrote on another site before I joined this one. Just thought I would share a a poem.

Nice thread! =D LOVE it!

Here's my favorite one of mine:

Ancient Tree

Down the aisle I see a tree with branches
reaching up, high and through the ceiling
of weeds and twine surrounded by lilies.
I’m in a dress, a blank sheet of white paper,
covered in blood. Tattered and torn from
adventures alone. Where is my shield and
my sword? Have I defeated, or is this blood
my own? Stepping stones appear and lead
to this ancient tree, with knots and bird’s
nests. A home for these creatures and for me,
a game of don’t-step-on-the-lava. I leap!
From stone to stone and hear an old song
of groans and utterances beyond my ears’
understanding. Safe land, I’ll call you mine
and not look behind to see the bubbling lava
I’ve narrowly escape. My eyelashes are seared
from the heat. Still this tree whispers breath.
Breathe. Child you are beautiful. My Beloved.
So I climb and feel the harsh bark beneath my nails
and toes. I’m almost to the top when my dress
catches on a branch. No! Almost there! I want
to see what’s at the top, beyond the reaching
branches. I seize the twine and the gates open—
a flood of water covers me, it stings and I cringe
I’m a little girl caught taking cookies. So I wait,
Suspended…no, I’m standing. I peer through
My eyelids and open them more, only to find
I’m standing on my tiptoes, balancing on an arm
of this tree. My dress! My tattered, bloody dress
is…new? And I’m wearing a crown of jewels . When
I reach to climb further still, my hand is already
holding something—my sword, shining and strong,
as dazzling as my crown. I harness this fight and reach
up, up, until I’m at the ceiling. When I look back
at the aisle, I see nothing but a fog and I remember not
where I’ve been. Didn’t I battle some ferocious beast?
My hands part the weeds and twine surrounded by lilies
and I see. I can hear the words behind the groans. This
language is my own. Princess of this land. Conqueror.

Why is your mask made of steel?
Why is your pride only what you feel?
I should crush you.
But that isn't my deal.
Let go.
Of what you think you know.
And show me something
Something real.
Show me all your fears
Show me all your tears
Lets replace those predictable gears
With a newborn heart
So, all your lies can disappear
It's time for something real
It's time for you to heal
