Someone posted a video about the Eucharist. I was a bit skeptical. But a question popped into my head as a result from watching it. The question is if I did become convinced that it actually is the body and blood of Jesus, would I take it? I've spent a bit of time thinking about it, and I have come to a firm conclusion. I won't give my answer right away, because I'm really interested in this poll and I don't want to taint it in any way. But I will do so.

Please feel free to give your rationale regardless of what you choose. I'm probably more interested in the thought processes involved than anything else.

Note:
I have the poll set to display votes publicly but only after you vote. And it's also set so you can't change your vote.

Is eucharist the same as we are taught by Jesus Yeshua, that is, the Breaking of Bread?

I don't know what it is. I'm not an expert. I just asked a simple question: If you became convinced that it is the actual body and blood of Jesus, would you take it? Why or why not?

The point is not to argue about what it is or isn't. You've got about a million threads on this site where you can argue about anything you want. Please not in this one.

An honest question is not argument.

I would not and have voted that way as I do not find the Catholic church to be the "church" or "Ekklesia" spoken of in the new testament.

I voted yes because if I was convinced of something then I'd embrace it.
