Most of my rules are self imposed and too long to fully list. lol. But I'll post a few that annoy me more than most.... :D

Holding doors....If a person is in a short distance as I enter a door it's getting held for them. I've watched tons of guys let doors close right in the face of the person behind them. If it's a guy I don't wait but I don't let it fully shut. If It's a women (especially older or a younger one with a kid and stuff being carried etc) I'll wait a bit....it just makes sense and to let it shut and let them struggle to get it open with their hands full seems selfish and it annoys me when people do this.

The toilet paper roll. If you use the last replace the dang toilet paper and do it right. Right is over not under.

littering. Don't be lazy...throw your junk away.

Texting and driving. If it's so important pull over but no one else deserves to die because you're a selfish idiot.

It's seems like no one knows what the double solid lines on the road mean.
I'm from Philly. I know. It means, "Move over, Slow Poke! I'm more important!"

we hear you Lynn,

be prepared, in our own home grown society: the older you get, the less you are
cared about, much less loved and respected...this is where we place our hope and trust
in our Saviour, for He always honors those who honor Him...

I always wear a bike helmet, when I crashed in 2014 and broke my wrist, my helmet was smashed, but no concussion.

I always wear a seat belt. But mostly it’s because my Honda buzzer gets more and more insistent if I didn’t put it on before I got into the car!

Speed limits? Not my thing! If you could barely walk, and were grounded off your bike, you’d probably want to go fast, at least occasionally, wouldn’t you? Except now my knee is so bad, I can barely manage to drive, either!

we have a lot less visitors over the years, because we live in a very rural area
and don't wear our 'out-side' shoes 'inside' = we have found that it seems to be
a real 'burden' for people to respect this rule that we do ourselves, some actually
are offended
that we don't want wild animal '....', being brought in to our living
quarters...we found a way around this by making the garage that leads into our
house a 'man-woman-cave', with lots of chairs...

also, always remember to never 'touch' the door handles of stores that you are
going into, and don't ever touch the toilet handles or the doors going out, as many
don't wash their hands anyway...

I always carry a good disinfectant - and I have read that 'menus' are a terrible
carrier for germs; clean those hands after ordering, or you might just get more
than you bargained for...

and don't forget about 'money and change', they say it is one of the worst carriers
of international 'germs'...what's the big deal about carrying a little vial of alcohol???

I could go 'on and on', but most simply just keep going 'on and on' the same ways
that they 'always have'...

we've discovered that when trying to plant good seed, it is often taken in a negative way,
and we really do try and be polite, as well as good examples, as we can't even remember
when we last 'caught-something'...

I know just what you mean about the bit in bold. We have a lovely
carpet in the living room it’s been down 8 years and still looks and feels
like new. It is really good quality and thick.

Over the past year or so it got really mucky due to all the carers (twice a day)
coming in and out with their shoes on. Most didn’t even bother to wipe their
feet even though we kept telling them to. We even got some plastic shoe
covers to slip over shoes.

Over summer at great expense we hired a carpet cleaner and got it looking
like new again.

Now a different care company come in but it’s four times a day! The carpet
is deterioting already and we’ve only had them a week and a half.

They are really good with my aunt though so I think we will end up
sacrificing a nice carpet for her well being. It’s a pity people dont think
twice about what they drag in on their feet.

When you use or borrow something put it back where you found it in as good or better condition than you found it.

Get plastic runners to out over the well trod areas! And a large sign to tell them to take off their shoes.

I can not stand drivers who go the wrong way in parking lots and then act like you are in their way.
I just get in the middle and wait them out.
