A Christmas season tradition I have done since I was a kid, was watch Christmas movies. My favorites are Scrooge 1951 version starring Alastair Sim, The Bishops Wife with Cary Grant are among the few. Of course my favorite Christmas cartoons, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman etc.

Decorating the house and putting up the Christmas Tree right after Thanksgiving. 🎄

Now that I'm much older, good food, family and togetherness at the Holidays are more important to me.

Some advice for you.... Life is short and holding onto bitterness is not sweet. Let go of grudges. Jesus would be pleased that you did.
There is a tradition I never had, christmastree 25th of november, I will do that. My old family tended to put it up like a few days before christmas, often stressing around to chop one down the day before, and decorating it on christmas day. Now they do plastic tree, fake tree. The other family I celebrated a few christmases with got a tree 1-2 weeks before christmas. Not stressing with decorating, decorating it in peace with plenty of time. Do not like that the tree represents stress, and becomes a job. Christmas is not meant to be like that, and if it is to be like that, you cannot get the peace to concentrate on what christmas is about and read the book.

Togetherness is not important to me, spending time with God is important. God is not allowed in the house of my family. Hardcore atheists visiting, people who not only rejects God and mock him, but it is so important for them, that they delisted from the church, as I also did in my younger years. The duration of life does not matter, only how it is lived matters, if you live in truth or not. We do not decide the length of it, God does. Being around people who resent you, that would cause bitterness, so not doing that. I removed a couple of people from my life, so I would not hate them, so I can be dispassionate about them. Without realizing it, you advice me to invite in the problems that lead me to God. Doing so, would be a rejection of my faith. Not doing so. And it would also mean that I could not read the bible on the 24th, and no christian stuff at all. And enduring blasphemy on Jesus birthday. Jesus points to God, see past his teachings of positive things. We are told to follow Gods commandments, and how to conduct ourselves in life. It is not free to do whatever for me. And I must try to finish the book by christmas. And as I said, I will wish my parents a merry christmas on the 24th, and perhaps have a coffee and cake with them, so I will meet them. And the others are free to come and have a coffee with me anytime. I just will not celebrate christmas with them.
