General question: Which are you looking forward to more.... tomorrow, or Heaven?

Underpinning the new age movement (which isnt very new by the way as its a salad mix of many old religions and spirtualities) is satan. From my studies it seems that many simply dont understand the spirit realm, mostly because we are in a natural world with veiled spirit eyes. Unless Jesus the supreme spirit being is at the center it WILL BE sanother one of satans scemes. In saying that, satan is crafty and has invented religions like mormonism, Jehovahs witness and islam that all acept Jesus but He has been twisted to fit their faith.

Willie I would say tomorrow because the kingdom of heaven began at salvation.

We react quite vehemently to certain words. "Emergent" is one of those words that sends many of us over the edge. (There goes the gnashing of teeth)
All the word really means, before we tack all sorts of sinister doctrinal meaning to it, is a coming out of the religious mire of mainstream "Churchdom."

I think we might even have one of those churches somewhere in my city.... downtown, I think.
...and landing in a swamp of relativism

Hi gang,

I've heard many people refer to themselves as "spiritual but not religious". To me it sounds as if they want the New Age type of spirituality but don't want to follow Christ and His Gospel. Some call themselves that because they are truly looking for an actual relationship with Christ but without all the "rules". Now we could get into a debate as to what that really means but that's best left for another thread.

Different SBNR's may say that the term means different things, but the above is just my opinion.

What do you guys think of SBNR's?

And please, no back-and-forth flaming on this one.
I've seen many spiritual types (emergents included) that gravitate to the 'religious' i.e., incense, sacred space, candles, meditation, priestly robes, chants etc. I think what we are seeing is a blend of "christianity" going towards Eastern mysticism and calling that 'non religious'.
