My best friend, not very good fdriend, best, when I has six or seven was a neighborhood kid, his name was Jimmy. One day he was hit by a car on the corner near my house. I was in my yard but I could see him, and when someonehelped him to his feet he had an enormous goode egg on his forehead, really big, and I began to cry because it hurt me to seee it. An adult nearby said to me, "don't cry kid, it's just a nigger." I ran into my house and prayed asking God to forgive that man because he waqs not frown up. That was in Long Beach, California.
Years later in the AF, I goton a city bus in Biloxi, and found that the black folks were all in the back, so I went to the back also. Also in Biloxi at a service station I saw the refrigerated water fountain with a sign, "whites onsly," and nearby a porcelain water fountain dripping with dirt and grime. The stattion attendant saw me looking and said, "You see how dirty they are," the sign over it said "Colored only." The fact is the second fountain had never been cleaned.......
Since that time, the 1960's I have experienced several occasions where blacks have been unkind to me strictly for my color. Guess what!? tHAT JUST PROVES TO me that blacks and whites are the same wheter the racists on either side like that or not.
Anyone who cannot see beyond the color of his own skin is not a spiritual person, and does not understand anything about the Kingdom of God....
Praise God for our family everywhere, amen.
