I was gone for just over a couple of months (closer to three) and missed seeing you around when I came back about a week ago. I am glad to see you are still here! As to the OP, I do not care for excessive heat, and as Blaine said, it is easier to warm up when it is cold than it is to cool off when it is too hot. My fans are still going and it was about 16 degrees Celsius on my way home tonight (Note to Ed: when I speak Fahrenheit, my daughter has no idea what I am talking about! :D). My preference is room temperature :giggle:
Hey there 😊 I forgot that I even posted "Summer" once before I posted it again. 😐 Yeah, I haven't been here for quite a bit. Sometimes I'm not sure what to say or if it's even OK for me to say the things I want to say?? Interestingly, I end up making more sense then I reckoned, it seems. 🤨 It's good seeing you too!! PM me anytime. We can ketchup there, if you'd like. 😊👋 Nice seeing you around.

Your description of the big room with no echo takes the breath away.

It could sell be your heart goes out to all and you are aware within that many suffer so much and needlessly these days.

Also, it is possible I have been feeling somethng very similar, and it is not due to my age., so I must thank you for sharing this.

Even though I have loved all seasons, I do like Spring more than any also. May you be well and fileld with God's Presence all seasons regardless because you care for all.....
😊 Thank you. Reality feels so unnatural these days. Some say it's a part of getting older ─ that you don't enjoy holidays as much. Some say it's because the world is getting worse and the overall suffering is so tremendous that no one is truly happy during the holidays anymore. I'll go with what you're saying, though; I think the suffering on this planet overwhelms the happiness and goodwill that people tend to experience during the winter season. It's just not the same anymore.

Summer all day long for me too.
Eternal summer. Nothing but summer.

I'm used to winter and snow now, but if given a choice .... i'd take summer forever.

I get the distinct impression you are interminably bored the last couple of days.

Oh well. The threads you have been digging up have been good ones that could use a bit of current discussion. No worries mate.

I’m not sure. An East Texas summer isn’t exactly necessarily a pleasant experience, but compared to an Alaskan winter I might would go for the former.

Cannot attest to either, my favorite weather in four season climates are mild Fall and Spring.

Yes the topics I’ve been looking for are more interesting compared to others in the forum right now, and are also topics that I enjoy.

Seasons, games, movies like The Chosen, vacations, traveling, laughing at different cultural customs around the world and things like that.

You must not be too desperate for entertainment. You haven't pulled up any Catholic arguments yet.

Yeah but those are 24/7 news now In a lot of forums not just this one.
The Catholics, OSAS, Calvinism, false prophecies, conspiracies, war, salvation, revelation etc etc.

So these other topics I’m talking about and resurrecting don’t get as much coverage.
I do enjoy the performance of GraceByGod and Jimmy tho. Those guys make me laugh with their top tier top bait trolling techniques which many people fall for.

But despite all of this, there is a small percentage of beautiful, edifying comments which I also bookmark. Those make the stay worthwhile. 1 in 10 or 2 in 10 People usually and that’s how it goes with every group or every church. I go and visit for the 1 in 10.

We've talked about your troll tiers before. Top tier trolls build a fan base first. That is just mid-low tier trolling... At best.

I was watching a show where a mob guy chose a cold region over a worm one like the Bahamas. At first I thought I would choose worm, then I realized I LOVE "fat" cloths like sweaters, thick coats, layers... Anything but showing my real size...lol.. So as much as I hate the cold, if I had to relocate, because I was a mob guy and people wanted to kill me, I think I would choose the cold...

Would you want summer or winter if you had to relocate?
Winter all the way, but ... I'm not thinking Arctic.

Hot regions are just miserable.

At least you can always add or subtract clothing in the cold regions and you can always go outside and do some things.

When it's scorching hot, you can't do nothin and it destroys everything.

Either climate can kill you of course, but I'd prefer it being cold out to being hot.

Depends on how you're defining winter or summer. If you're talking Alaska, I'll take summer all year long. If you're talking Mesa, Arizona, where I live, I'll take the so-called winter.

When I was living in the NYC / tristate area, a four-season zone, I hated winter. I relished even the humidity of the summer because I knew the warmth was only going to last a few months. I also associated the winter with school, dying leaves and grass, all my favorite insects dying or going into hibernation, etc. So, the fall was always depressing because I knew where it was headed... toward the death that winter brought with it.

Then, I moved to Los Angeles (2001). 9 months out of the year that sun stares at you, 90+°F strong. One day I finally looked up at the sun and said, "Hey, can you give me a break?!?" But, the sun replied, "Do you really want me to do that?" Visions of a frozen and dark earth came over me, so I put my head down and answered, "I suppose not." But, I still wanted a break.

Then, I moved to Arizona (2019). Holy crapoly. 115°F summers. "Winter" is by far the preferable season for me here. 65°F highs, 45°F lows. It rains. This I prefer now.

I used to be a summer baby (I was actually born in July). There are still remnants of that in my psyche. But, unless I moved back to the northeastern US, I doubt that I'll ever truly enjoy summer like I used to.

Would be fine relocating to where ther is winter as long as there are changing seasons. Like that where I live now.
