1. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." - First Amendment.
2. Public announcements *connected to the United States government*. Celebrating just Christmas at public declarations on private property or private schools is perfectly fine, but it cannot be solely celebrated in public, government owned land. Some atheists don't deny Jesus' existence (like me) but just deny his divinity.
3. Atheists regularly attack Islam (after Christianity) - here's a new's article of atheists putting up billboards calling Judaism and Islam false religions in the New Jersey/New York area American Atheists Billboards In Brooklyn, Paterson Target Jewish, Muslim Communities, look up the keywords "Sam Harris Islam" on YouTube, there will be a couple videos or so that should be easy to find, Richard Dawkins, in his documentary, has gone out and attacked the educational system taught by Islamic schools and its militancy ("The God Delusion", I believe, free on YoutTube). I personally don't attack it as vehemently but rather defend it in some cases.
4. Christianity is the world's largest religion and more importantly the dominating religion in the first-world, how could it then be the enemy of the world and be seriously threatened in matters of legal issues and mainstream power by small "socialist" factions? Atheists attack all religions (some more than others depending on geographical location and size of faction), not because it is "politically correct" to spare one or the other. Christianity is the largest religion in the first-world and so is the biggest target. Islam, being second (perhaps not for size as this could contest with Judaism but with modern day relevance).
6. I do not know how my opening assertion is asinine. It seems pretty okay with me.

.............and what you quote is CALLED THE "ESTABLISHMENT CLAUSE." Read it again, and show me where it says "there shall be a separation of Church and State." It does not, and do ya wanna know why? Because that was NOT the original intent of the Founding Fathers...........that is why your opening comment was asinine. The ORRIGIONAL INTENT of the Founding Fathers was to KEEP the Government out of the Church, but NOT to keep the Church out of the Government. Had you any knowledge of the ACTIONS of the Founding Fathers, you might well better understand.
As President, Thomas Jefferson (know who he is?) ORDERED that Federal Buildings in Washington D.C. REMAIN OPEN on Sundays in order to assure that all citizens HAD A PLACE TO ATTEND CHURCH. Yes, that is correct, the author of the Constitution provided Government Buildings as a place for citizens to hold their Church Services...........actually do some study of History...........then you will see why your opening remark was asinine.
You might ALSO want to spend some time contemplating what "OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF....." means.
Apparently socialist liberal anti-Christ and atheists haven't got the first CLUE as to the meaning of this statement in the Constitution.............
Hey, one billboard eh? Well, that's a start............So, why don't a bunch of you guys catch a flight to Iran and hold demonstrations in the Town Square denouncing Islam? Let me see that............oh, and I will send flowers IF they recover your bodies/or what's left of them and have a funeral............Atheists are cowards, nothing more. And while I do not believe there are any TRUE atheists, other than anti-Christ, it is the most common name used to identify this cowardly species.
