Astrid, steak and mashed potatoes don't go together well. Steak goes with French fries and mashed potatoes go with roast beef.

In Norway we rarely have cooked or fried food for breakfast (though some do have eggs of course).
steak should be served with either potatoes, rice or just a salad

Bacon, sausage, fried ham, and hash browns are common breakfast foods in our restaurants.

I'd get sick from eating that for breakfast. I prefer bread , whole grain bread, some kind of meat, sour cream and leek is yummm

Sausage, or bacon, or fried ham, plus fried eggs, hash browns, and buttered toast is a common breakfast in restaurants.

I have shredded wheat, skim milk, and orange juice for breakfast.

We're not supposed to eat at our work stations, though sometimes I have to sneak something from the snack machine.
