You said you've been a Christian for one month, and now you are making pamphlets telling all the mistaken people how things really go? Give me a break.
Ah.. another one liner but at least you got 2 sentences...... who typed them for you?
Whether ive been a Christian for a day, a month, a year or a decade should not make me any higher or lower than any other Christian. The 'eldership' thing might work in a golf club but Christianity aint a golf club.

Meaning what, exactly? Do you think you're justified here as such?
Christianity has real enemies in both attitude and people who should be opposed in word and deed.
I dont do kumbayah.

uh, see, had you been more mature in the study of His Word, you would know not to make such a statement. The Apostle Paul spoke directly to this issue. Perhaps you should take a wee bit more time to actually study His Word before deciding to launch into instructing more mature Christians in His Word? Just saying.

Hint: Christians supping on milk.............Christians feasting on the meat of His Word

A lot of the new believers I have seen are just filled with joy, love and gratitude for the new condition of their heart and profess their love for Jesus. This one seems to be slightly different than that.

Not gonna lie... Was expecting to see some selfies posted in here...with a trolololol. Because that response seems appropriate to this.

Cause I mean really?

You may disagree with everything I’ve written, that’s your choice. You may think that self worship is the way to go and you may be wishing…. “Like wow man! I really am dying in get in a viral selfy!
I mean......REALLY?

I've never taken a selfie, despit having numerous devices that can do it.

I guess my generation thinks that is a bit immodest or exhibitionistic?

It might be a good start, but only if you put the whole gospel next. Anything else is a waste of time!

Being mean and condescending is not the fruit of the Spirit. Basically everyone on here has opposed you, not the idea of telling people about the origin of selfies and making people think, but about your criticism-focused attitude. You asked for feedback but when people give it, you are not able to appreciate it and use it to improve what you've got up there, but start arguing with everybody instead? Why even ask for feedback then...

I take the occasional selfie for my wife, is that weevil?
Did I say it was evil?
You occassionally take one for someone you love, youre doing it for someone else - not yourself or for public consumption.
No problem

Yeah..well... the train for the land of sunshine, lollipops and rainbows has long departed.
All I was really looking for was ideas to improve what I had proposed and all I got was some inane comment about my AV.
If people want to fling crap I dont mind, but I'll hit you hard for it.
I aint worried about being 'popular'

FROM OP:
The current fad of taking a ‘selfy’ is said to be taking ones’ own photo at an event for ‘memories’. Actually it is nothing of the sort but rather a ritual of the old cult of narcissism and those who participate in it continually show their brain dead herd mentality. People seem to believe that the ‘selfy’ is a recent trend made popular by celebrities, this is not true and it actually goes back to Victorian times in Europe and USA (approximately 1885 – 1905).
END QUOTE.............

Pretty much condemns any and all who take selfies right? And you expected people to stand up and cheer? Why?

You want some cheese with that whine?
Why is taking selfies a fad?
Is it along the lines of 'everyones doing it so i have to as well'
If you ask people why they are taking a selfie at any given time the usual answer you get is 'oh...just because.....'
Celebrities are shown doing it and for some unknown reason everyone else seems compelled to do the same, they cant explain why they feel compelled to do it just because a celebrity does it but they will do it anyway.

Heh. My friends and I have been taking selfies LONG before it even became a word (if I am right, ever since one of us had a camera phone). We like to keep a memory of the moment and we don't want to ask someone else to take a picture of us because we don't want to be a bother. The best solution is a selfie. So what's all this hungama about selfies?

Granted that people can be very self-centric and take selfies just for public attention. I don't do that. Hence, I don't see why taking selfies are a sin.

I never said it was a sin, I just wanted to point out that the current trend of selfies now isnt a matter of conveniance but rather a 'live for the moment' lifestyle regardless of any consequences.

Example go to any porn site and youll see plenty of selfies and about half of those are underage, might seem ok for them now but in a couple of years they could find themselves in blackmail type situations
