The earth must be round, because that would be the only explanation for the circular reasoning of flat Earthers!!!

These folks have been around for a long time. Their primary purpose is to help us appreciate how human thoughts can go in many wrong directions, and how we try to be right in our own eyes. They are an extreme, but are any of us not guilty of some of the same kind of erroneous thinking?

UMMM But if the earth is flat,what is on the other side of the earth? Wouldn't that make it more like a coin? And how do they resolve the south pole? Shouldn't the antarctic explorers that went to the south pole have fallen off the edge? And how do they resolve around the world flights? :confused:

Math allows for such things, proving the human mind can invent many theories, and there are many ways of viewing God's creation. The big question is, are these other theories wrong, or do just less convenient ways to process our world?

This "earth is flat" talk is pretty big stuff. Maybe we should play it safe and start small and debate on the likelihood that this apple is flat. *not being sarcastic, totally 100% serious* .... *makes poker face* ...*cheek twitches*
