That should read "White House CAUSED Russian invasion of Ukraine". Had a real American president been in the White House, this would never have happened.

The real question is what were Ukraine and all the surrounding countries to the West of Russia doing since 2014 when Putin grabbed Crimea? Had they all joined together to create a defensive barrier from North to South, Putin would not have dared do what he has done. In unity is strength, and there were at least 10 nations which could have united with Ukraine over the last eight years to block Russian aggression.

I can't see how this is the fault of anyone in the white house. Putin gave the orders; Putin is to blame, and no-one else.

Who gave Putin all the encouragement he needed, day after day? Who bought Russian oil worth billions and shut down oil production and oil flow in North America? Who showed Russia and China that there was a bumbling idiot in the White House, so now was the time to fulfil their evil ambitions? Who has been chipping away daily to ensure that the USA has no power or authority in geopolitics? Who made the American military weak and incapable?

Tulsi Gabbard and I agree that if Putin had received assurances that the Ukraine would not become part of NATO, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Nevertheless, Putin made the decision to invade the Ukraine and he must bear the responsibility for that. As for the rest, we read our politics differently.

The Ukraine is a free, sovereign state. Or do you think their freedom so worthless that they should have their right to self-determination stitched up clandestinely by bigger, more powerful players? As if might makes right?

Putin wouldn't have invaded while trump was president, they're buddies and buddies don't invade each other. Why do you think China abstained in condemning Russia? Because they and old Joe are buddies, and you don't go against your buddies.

Last night I watched a documentary on the Ukraine uprising of 2013/14, called Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom. I would highly recommend it to anyone (it's on Netflix). It was excellent, infuriating, and heartbreaking all at the same time.

I'm just being a realist. The choice was to not admit the Ukraine to NATO, or start a war with Russia.
