I think that perhaps more devastating than having friends and family turn on "you" . . . is when our Brothers and Sisters in Christ turn on us. This is when we find the Truth of our Christian friends . . . will they stick with us, or will they turn and walk away?

2 Timothy 1:8 NLT - "So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don't be ashamed of me, either, even though I'm in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News."

2 Timothy 1:16 NLT - "May the Lord show special kindness to Onesiphorus and all his family because he often visited and encouraged me. He was never ashamed of me because I was in chains."

2 Timothy 1:15 NLT - "As you know, everyone from the province of Asia has deserted me--even Phygelus and Hermogenes."

It is devastating to be surrounded by those who claim to be Christians, yet they turn from you when you're in trouble. To be left alone and completely disappointed . . . defenseless . . . by those who are called to support, defend, and Love. We expect to be mistreated by those who are outside of the Church, but we do not expect to be accused, ridiculed, and abused by those in today's modern-day "christian" church.

How many of us here at CC can pass the below test?

1 John 3:14 NET - "We know that we have crossed over from death to life because we love our fellow Christians. The one who does not love remains in death."

And what does it mean to remain in death? It means that Spiritual Circumcision has not yet taken place . . . thus these people are rude, cruel and unkind (because they are Spiritually dead).

Colossians 2:13 NLT - "You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins."

Do we Love each other, or do we berate, belittle, ridicule and poke fun at the things that others say? How many of you have been told that you're now on a person's Ignore list because you couldn't contain yourselves? Were you placed on Ignore because you are patient and kind? Were you placed on that list because you were gentle in your responses regarding the things they had to say?

2 Timothy 2:25 NLT - "Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth."

How much more, then, should we be kind and gentle to each person [here] at a Christian forum?

I have no idea why it's down, or what to do about it...

Try talking about whatever you would talk about in chat.

Honestly, I've been hurt less from my unsaved friends than from other Christians.

If we just talk about random stuff, like we would in a chat room...

With me you will get talk about music. For hours and hours and hours and days and maybe weeks.

I might take a break here and there to talk about chocolate.

Oh, I can talk about computers too.

But... Yeah, mostly music. And most of my computer talk will be what you can use computers for when you're making/editing music. :geek:

Eh... I don't like to talk about groups I don't like. Maybe somebody else gets a blessing from it. I don't want to ruin it for them.

If I talk about things I don't like about music, I will talk about general trends. Example, I hate it when a singer puts out a couple good albums, gets popular, and then thinks he or she has to get really professional... And trains all the Spirit out of the singing by getting TOO professional.

I'll talk a blue streak until the next blue moon about music I do like though. o_O
