I sipped some soda while watching TV and hadn't eaten anything in a couple of hours, but found something in my mouth. I crunch it once, but it had no taste so I pulled it out. Ummm, a dead fly. Give me that face full of spiderweb back. It suddenly sounds good. lol

At least it was protein. After all we must have well balanced diet:p

In truth though that does sound so nasty, but think of it this way it could have been something more disgusting :)

Now you have to come up with something more disgusting than chewing on dead flies! :p

I was eating sauteed fish for lunch, and felt something on my lip, so I caught it with my fork and looked at it... it was really thin and stretchy, about eight inches long and white. Maybe part of the fish, maybe not, but I wasn't that desperate for the extra protein!

My icky was...I love oysters sometimes and for a stew once I opened a can and some funky little ocean critter was in the can and it didn't belong there! Lol

It was the size of a fly and had googly little eyes...that stared at me! Ugh
I nearly threw the can
It was disturbing
I can hardly eat canned oysters now because of this :(

getting up in the morning, turning the light on, seeing the big roach that you stepped on when you got up at 2 am to use the bathroom, and did not even realize that you squished it. I mean SQUISHED it.

I will immediately faint if i am the one who experiences that. Ugh. Roach is just "ewww..."

Once a roach ran over my feet and i immediately jumped back. I could not stop jumping for a few minutes later and i will jump again everytime i remember that moment. Ugh.

Moral to the story: Don't eat sauteed fish for lunch. :)

I have never been much for neat-and-orderly, so I used to wear hubby's t-shirts for pajamas, and threw it on the floor in the morning. One night, I put it on and we went to bed. The bottom left side of my back tickled, so I scratched it. The itch went up to the top left side of my back, so I scratched it. It moved over to the right top -- so I reached under the shirt to scratch it and felt a hard insect body.

Woke up hubby with my girly scream while ripping off the shirt. (Probably woke up upstair's neighbor and half the neighborhood too.) Never saw what it was, but we had water bugs in that apartment. Worse yet, not seeing it means it could have fallen off IN the bed, so it was a tough night for me to sleep.

Moral of the story: Never leave your pajamas on the floor.

I've been seen trying to push the side wall of my house into the neighbor's house trying to get away from a roach. I don't do bugs well! I'll pick up a snake and play with reptiles, but bug! Ewwww!!!!

had a similar experience: was doing some yard work at my old house several years ago, felt an itch on my back, reached around, got popped by a european hornet, nasty nasty sting. kind of a rare flying insect, but one found me.

moral of this story : scratch gently what you can't see.

The ickiest feeling I get is when I read Roger's oh-so-mistaken missives on scripture.

Give me the dead fly, the squished roach, and whatever it was crawling in the bed rather than one poor old man's delusional lack of faith and understanding!

Believe it or not, I can handle frogs and flies and most of the things listed here, but I just can't stand spiders or snakes. I had bad experiences with both
