never understood the smell my feet part of the Halloween song, honestly who actually smell's people's feet and like it???
strange, the rest about the origin of Halloween is giving the dead food and drink to eat and blending in with the dead by dressing as the dead, ultimately a holiday based on fear, but the candy idea nowadays is a nice addition but kind of creeps me out thinking how many kids could get lost on Halloween, though I've trick or treated before later on I found it more creepy than fun.

I think that's one of those medieval tests to tell is someone is a witch.

We don't get but a few trick or treaters. There's two churches in the area that do hay rides, but they think trailer parks are evil so they don't let the kids come, they don't mind parking in driveway though.
Wait a minute... what do you mean, they think trailer parks are evil so they don't let the kids come? Huh?? The trailer park kids?

No, the kids on the hay ride along with almost the rest of the town. The kids that live in the trailer park go on the hay ride but come by trick or treating later.

The people of the town don't like there being a trailer park, they even tried to make a petion to have the park closed, which is just ridiculous.
They think the park is bad yet it's their teenagers who ride around at 2 am in their noisy pickup trucks waking everyone up. We've had a few bad apples in the park who were in involved with drugs, but they live in the trailer park because they were shuned by their family that lives in the big fancy house up the road. Not to mention the other two story house where the owner we're dealing meth and someone was shoot in the head, nothing ever happened like that in the park though. Lol.

Lol they should make a TV show out of your town... lots of good story ideas there! :-D

Yes, I celebrate Halloween! I have dressed up in the past, and won costume contests! And I just now am thoroughly enjoying saying hi to all my neighbors as they come by my house... I've just decided this is my favorite part of Halloween. I am the woman who goes out with two buckets of candy (with several more in the kitchen so I don't run out), one bucket of the sweet and chocolatey, and the other bucket of sour stuff. I love it. The kids take one piece...and I whisper to them (loud enough for their parents to hear), "Take a handful... hey, give that one to your dad... take some extra for your mom, you know they want some anyway!" and we all have a good laugh and wish each other a "Happy Halloween" and I just love it. :)
