I haven't seen enough convincing evidence. Either it doesn't exist, or I'm one of the only people in the world who remembers things properly because I've never had a Mandela Effect moment.

I think it's just that people don't remember things as well as they like to think they do. What's more likely - a person has a sketchy memory like all other people, or that a person is moving into alternate realities? Usually the simplest explanation is the correct one.

Without going to any sources,.... Answer this question. (If you haven't already "figured" it out, play along).

What does the Lion lay down with in the Bible?

This works well and is fun in the secular world, might not work as well on CC.

*facepalm*

No, don't play along. Mandela Effect is just another BS topic of the lunatic fringe. It needs to be tossed in the garbage bin along with the rest of the trash. With the uptick in these types of topics, I am wondering if CC has become the dumping ground for the weirdos since GLP instituted another money shakedown ban and since people can't browse there they come here to trash this place up worse than it already is.

I never heard of it so I Googled it. I don't know. Sometimes I think our memory just remembers something a certain way and we see it a little differently then the way we remembered it it's one of those, oh, really? Moments.

An example I have would be the house I grew up in. I remembered it as being so big. It's what I had engraved in my head. When it went up for sale my Brother, Sister, and my family went to see the house, curious of the changes. I also have kind of had this dream of buying it for my family. Well when I went in I looked at my old bedroom and the other rooms and thought, this is a lot smaller than what I remember. Even my Husband said, these bedrooms are small. In my memory our bedrooms were big. Just a perception of maybe a kid and that memory from then. I don't know, the mind can be tricky.

I don't know about this Mandela effect though.

I don't think there's anything truth to it. But it certainly makes for fascinating What If? scenarios (for storytelling or just day dreaming).

Well, at least you're learning how things work on CC. This place is not exactly an accepting and welcoming environment. It's kind of like the business end of an outhouse that markets itself as a Christian forum. Enjoy your stay.. Be sure to tip your waitress.
