I made a BIG mistake.
I took some zinc after I walked my dog this morning, and figured I would just take my vitamin C at work since I forgot to bring the bottle home. I felt the beginnings of a cold yesterday and wanted to load up on vitamins (zinc/vitamin C/echinasia) to fight it off.
NEVER ever ever take zinc on an empty stomach.
I was violently sick, had to pull over a few times on my way in to work, and then had to lay down in my back seat for an hour to try to get myself together. That stuff is ridiculously potent! I felt like someone was wringing out my stomach, oh man what misery. i would have been so thankful if someone had just knocked me out cold.
The good news is I don't feel like I'm coming down with anything anymore..
I always have to learn things the hard way, it seems. Don't do what I did!
