this might be a better way of saying what I said earlier, you go to one church and hear it is o.k. to be gay and have a gay marriage ( wrong) and then go to another one and hear it is a sin ( right). their is so much disagreement among the body about so many things, we need pastors to preach the Bible. not to insult you, but I live out in the country, and country churches have horrible theology in my area. all Baptist and pentacostal garbage.

sorry for you..........any church that teaches that gay marriage, or living the gay lifestyle is ok, may call themselves a church, but they are not of THE CHURCH in my opinion. They may be like that Westboro church....or whatever, but they are not of THE CHURCH.

I am not insulted, and I am neither Baptist or Pentecostal. And while I may have disagreements with some of their teachings, if they profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, I extend the hand of Christian love and fellowship to them.

Ideology should never stand in the way of Christian fellowship in my opinion.

I agree with ideology should not stand In the way of fellowship. but it has been my experience that so many churches have a " we know how to worship and how to conduct a lifestyle and if you don't do it our way then you are a hell-bound sinner" attitude. some people also. but I join you in wishing we could have unity.

I'd really love to read through the various pages of documents you must have compiled to come up with these criticisms. It should be an interesting read.......
It's all documented right here, as well as people I know personally
All you have to do is Read the forums and you'll see what I mean
What people do, what they engage in, what they speak most about, what qualifies as their form of entertainment etc.
The church is Gods people, not a building,
My main point was, we see Christians acting no differently than the world.
So how are we as Christs body any different and an example to people outside the church?
And not just being followers of Christ when there's onlookers.

The church in general is lacking depth. We have a plethora of milk-drinkers who refuse to graduate to meat which has resulted in a superficial body of believers who are more focused on appearances than on living out true, gritty Christianity. We spout off half-formed ideas that are parroted from the newest evangelical movement or, conversely, from a man who died before realizing where his theology was wrong. There is one source for absolute truth, and it is wielded all too often by those who are either inept or willingly twisting it to manipulate others. We have to learn how to empty our minds of our preconceptions when we approach the Bible. Then discover what God is actually saying, not what we want Him to say. And finally, yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit who guides us in how to live out that truth daily. Living for Christ is messy, it's inconvenient, it's unpopular, and it's hard. But it's the life our Savior has called us to.

Yeah, but you can't judge the whole Church by the commentary posted here on CC. Yes, you can surely point out the problems with some of the ideologies expressed here, but still, I have faith enough to believe that there is still enough of the Church who are grounded in Jesus Christ to do God's will.

I often wonder and worry about the "guests" who visit Christian web sites, and read through the Forums..........I can only imagine that if they are unbelievers, their unbelief is strengthened, and if they are new believers, they really gotta be confused about their choice. We can only pray that even on the world wide web enough Christians grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ speak out, so that those who may be seeking or those needing spiritual growth receive His Word, His Truth.

I just don't like broad brush statements about anything, just the way I am. :)

Well, Jesus said, he dwells in temples not made with hands, that's us. What the church's need is Jesus. Seems like every news report is served, every gossip, or put down, of people in the church or the people that were in the church. The church is diluted so much, that the doors are being closed, and no one is going no where but with Jesus, everywhere. The huge Ukrainian church that was built by the very members there, is on the web, saying, Closed, another huge church has very few people going. Why, is people are tired of hearing about condemnation. Many church in the United Kingdom have closed. There is no fervency of God's love. There needs to be unity, and the Love of the LORd, for any ministry to thrive, and when one looks on another on a speck in the eye, it's not going to work. Lukewarm Revelation says, he will spew you out of his mouth. Wonder why there's no churches, this is why. If Christ is not the High Priest there, and the Only one to obey, then the doors should be closed. For those who put their confidance in the arm of flesh are cursed. That's a scripture. The chruch needs Jesus, his love, and his compassion.

I much prefer to speak of what is good and Godly about the Church, however I have to agree with you on one point, and that is that there appears to be a great shortage of Sanctified Believers. Well, maybe not in the whole Church, but surely as I read through the various threads and comments on CC, I can't help but be saddened by the lack of Spiritual understanding of Scripture revealed in the comments of some. I am saddened by this greatly.

There is a real display of carnality/earthly belief concerning Scripture on many of the threads on CC. Some simply do not seem able to understand the Spiritual reality of Christianity. They seem to only be able to relate to Christianity in the carnal/earthly sense. The only possible explanation I can see for this is they simply do not understand what Sanctification is, or how one achieves this Spiritual state of oneness with God. Maybe there is another explanation, I don't know. Maybe it's because of denominational teaching, or some other influence, I don't know. But I am truly saddened by it.

I love God's Church. I believe there are many, many wonderful believers throughout the world and here on CC, who are God fearing, God loving believers, and who have dedicated their lives to serving Him. I believe that there is FAR MORE RIGHT with His Church than there is "lacking." Now, clearly, that's just me, for I surely don't see threads on CC edifying the Church.

Individual threads of praise, prayer, and Christian love are found here on the Miscellaneous Forum, but even they do not extend their comments to God's Church as a whole. Rather we fellowship in favorite/loved Scriptures, Hymns and such, and that's great! I would really love to see a thread about what we love about God's Church. What the Church is doing right. Yeah, I know, who cares? It doesn't make for good debate........and shoot, it's far more fun to "tear down" than to "build up."

God must really, really be proud of us huh?

More welcoming to new comers.
I tried seeking church to attend and did not feel welcome.
I also many times applied volunteer work at catholic aged care with police cert, aged care cert etc and it said they welcome all but they kept pushing me aside and "we get bak to you".
I got back to them but they kept push me away not want me there.
and this was volunteer work.....

I think it is a few individuals with power they miss use to spread lies, and then a whole community can be bad to someone and also if they like some ones pussy so to say or spouse they may say "im the human of the" .....but they are not they may be locked up and tied up unwillingly and "oh we sing so good winger wingers" but ones wings tied up and no one see or understand that. Thats not fair winging either and arrogantly they look and feel perfect but so is not true.
Also discussions if muslims and some enemies of church acting as christian to spy and gain power.

Be nice candle lit christian exercise in pool like aqua aerobics to gospel then followed by meditation to programming Gods good word or reading prayers.

We should start something like this all around.
How healing and lovely.
Then offer cheap massages and then have a church for the wierdos who everyone hates and get bullied and not welcome in church cause everyone lies about them .

Also church could have bbq s weekends and put out flyers for those dont atend church but would like to.
I would loooove bbq but one does not bbq alone as expensive and not as nice.

There could be supportive and including for ALL to exercise and encourage this health and care not "us" or "all but her" .....or nasty attitudes and whispers etc...

More welcoming, supportive, encouraging.
Loving.
Less beleiving lies a famous person power missused or a group of people in power spread lies so bad behaviours ..hurt some one not welcome.

Things are not always as seem and sometimes reasons one may understand.

I have been incredibly dissapointed with the church and christians.

Jesus came to me and spoke to me and I felt him within me but I was not welcome by people church and will pray be lead to where God wants me to be.
I said God has my name now.
May he lead.
and the bad people in church may be exposed one day for lieing and doing crime and badness that they corrected be.

I am with a catholic man in church and I feel as if I am with him in his church and am inside his body.
I miss he and love he and it so holy to feel this.
I in church within his body.
But in the flesh my body is in bed writing here.
Have spoken with some nice christians but not many. lol..... sorry...... ha ha ha
bad guys you..... lol
naaa

Love to you and I would love if we could do such as exercise etc and welcoming and also expand to so many areas and in church also have doors opened not closed.
Well doors closed if they crime that bad to and for church but not closed to the person want to go but afraid cause been bullied or hated or experienced much.
scary christians. lol

also online church could be great starter kit....

Love and god bless
