This past week I have been installing an above ground pool. Although I consider myself handy, I knew I would be challenged. During the filling process, you have to diligently work wrinkles out of the liner at the base. I watched how the weight of the water created pressure and revealed the imperfections beneath the surface. If I didn’t continuously analyze and push out the bumps and crevices, also remove a few sharp rocks and a sharp root, it would have created greater problems in the future. I realized how much this parallels the Christian life. Even though I had read the manual and watched more experienced people successfully complete what I was attempting, it was the added pressure that really tested my efforts. I think as humans we like to be comfortable and stay away from things that are difficult. It is these trials that really reveal the “flaws in our base”. Once they surface we can work them out and remove something that will cause a major problem down the road.

I like the Post. But, I believe that it is Christ within us that works out and removes what will cause major problems in our lives. That's my experience anyhoo............ I tried, and didn't do very well at it........when I turned it over to Him, things got a whole lot better.

That is completely true. We should always work out your spiritual and physical bumps we go through.
