I don't think it's so much that people hate us, it's more like they see how we act towards others and even ourselves within church and ask themselves "Why would I want to have fellowship with people like that?".....a lot of times it's our fault.

I know many non-Christians hate me. They don't want to hear the truth. I've had them stalk me right into service in preparation for assaulting me in church simply because I told them the truth. God always intervened, thankfully, and they either stomped out or went forward!

The devil has deceived the minds of a great many people and without a regenerate nature live in deception and hate. It is what it is. They hate and I love. They attack me personally and make false accusations and I defend and tell them the truth. I know how it ends :).

??? so, your saying that they couldn't possibly stand the idea of being loved unconditionally, supported spiritually, in word, deed, and prayer, and being part of a family of wonderful people who aren't out to use them?

Well, I suppose it's possible this would turn them off.

I don't hate any Christians. Sure I disagree with them all on many levels... But I certainly don't hate them, not even mildly dislike them. They are no different to me. We just have a different outlook on what happens when we die. That's all it boils down to really.
